That was the correct call, the light on the backboard went off before it left his hand. Stupid announcers are caught up with the "clock" and don't even mention the light.

I wish they'd revise the rule. Common sense says they need to use the clock with the most time on it. The player can't be required to look at/compare both clocks. Suppose he could only see one of them? He can only make decisions based on the information he has.
Light on the backboard is the rule, not the clock. The reason being, the 3 digit clock actually has time left on it (the computer does) even when it reaches "00.0", like "00.0001", "00.000001". Milliseconds, but they still count. When the light goes off on the backboard, there is not time remaining (the computer has reached true zero).I wish they'd revise the rule. Good call. Bo Ryan just lost his sh it. Agree that I have never seen the clocks not synched like that.
