So definitely a gut punch but dems da breaks. Reload. We kept our OC which was the big thing. When you have a top 25 team, always a chance for coaches and players to get grabbed. I did not hear this guy was a big recruiter, his strength seemed to be in coaching. Find another young NFL guy to backfill. Ross came to us via New England right?

Fran did take Meeks but I'm sure Georgia didn't care, Jackson was a bench and special teamer only. Fran knew the kid had talent but wasn't getting a chance with the Dawgs. 70 catches and 1,000 yards later, Jackson's gonna get a NFL shot.

He just took a job with Cowboys as assistant receivers coach but could see this happening. Him and Fran are close

*edit- Wouldn’t be surprised if Devin Redd gets the bump either. Not as splashy as many of us would like but he’s put in some time and kids really seem to like him.

I will not be overly worried about any assistant coach leaving. As long as we have coach Fran leading the team he will find another great replacement.

It only reinforces the great work Syracuse is doing when they lose assistant coaches to Oregon or other top schools.
