He’s a huge loss. Our receivers made huge strides this year. He’s going to be tough to replace.Big Loss!

Why are people not getting this. AW was not giving any real money to the collective. He funded a few athletes with small contributions relatively speaking. (Yes, it’s more than the majority of us give) His primary donations went to his social media promotion. Getting stars to come so he can build his clout. And even with his best bud JB coaching, he still didn’t help us win any recruiting battles. All smoke, no substance at all.Exactly. How does bringing Jimmy Fallon to the Dome help again? I mean, helping the team, not the ego of AW
yes but he was the part OC.The guy he’s replacing made $700,000.
Can’t be mad when someone leaves for the #1 program and more $. Just shows what frans building

Agreed, kids are not 100% coming here to play for a WR coach. This stings but Fran will work something solid out with some other up and coming coach.
This is one reason why it helps for Fran to also have a close good relationship with all the recruits as well and not just the position coaches. Hopefully guys like Michael Johnson and Nunzio have had contact with our 2026 WR recruits too. Maybe whoever we hire has some good relationship with some good kids we’re not involved with as much yet as well.
I agree. That said, I heard much less. If you’re right, then I stand corrected. My understanding it that he gave a million or more to
SU athletes. I consider that real money
Can he coach? I'm tired of SU hiring folks who were good players and are family. Personal talent doesn't necessarily translate to coaching ability (I'm talking to you, Red).Wonder if we could get Rob Moore to come home
Yes but I’d be less upset had he taken an OC job somewhere. He’s taking the same position for more moneyGet used to it, this is the new norm. Fran wants his coaches to be Head Coaches.
This shows we are hiring great coaches instead of D2 and D3 coaches...
Nice to see but we know they’ll lose to BC or northwestern if they make the finals unfortunately. They need to prove me wrong before I buy in againThe girls lax beat Maryland on the road, so not a total loss![]()
Not leaving for a coordinator role tho… lateral move with a pay bumpA sign of the program profile rising. We keep this up, our position coaches will start to get poached by factories to become coordinators.
No they O still has their leader which is what matters. Keeping Nixon is hugeCan’t help but feel bad for Trevor Peña, wonder if he has any regrets about returning as he lost McCord + his position coach
He was here once before and he hated recruiting. His time is long gone. Can he coach? I'm tired of SU hiring folks who were good players and are family. Personal talent doesn't necessarily translate to coaching ability (I'm talking to you, Red).![]()
More exposure as well.Yes but I’d be less upset had he taken an OC job somewhere. He’s taking the same position for more money
You work at company X and they pay you let's say $200k a year. You are very good at your job and your in a top 25 company say in your vertical. Now a top 10 company comes to you and tells you to come and do the same job for them and they will pay you $600k per year. It's not a position change but the money is much more and it comes with other benefits. Would you consider taking the position? Not leaving for a coordinator role tho… lateral move with a pay bump
Fran is the definition of a leader
I'll never say I'm as good as Fran as a leader. It shocks me when one of my employees comes to be with moving on to a different job or say they are looking for one and they are surprised I'm excited and supportive of them.Fran is the definition of a leader
Maybe a future Nixon replacement for us.Coach Ross did a great job. I wish him the best and expect to see him in a coordinator role soon.
