WR Coach Ross Douglas to Oregon

As we start to have success this will happen more and more. I don’t obsess over assistants anymore. It was a normal occurrence under coach p.
Agree. Losing an assistant to a program the caliber of Oregon is a good thing. And don't anyone even try to talk about SU's commitment on this one. Not many schools could compete with Phil Knight and Big 10 money.

Where is our Phil Knight?

Fran will make a good choice. Look at his first staff. Other than Specials pretty dam good

You get to work with some higher star kids, but I wonder how much the money bump was. how much do WR coaches make? Does he become CO OC up there as well?

But as they also say he is a rising coach probably was gone in 1-2 yrs anyway

I know there are plenty of schools that have bigger coaching staff budgets and can afford to pay more than we can, but man, it always stings when we lose a position coach to a lateral move (lateral in this case meaning the same position, not talking money or prestige).

He’s replacing Junior Adams (heading to NFL) who arguably was the top recruiter in the country this past year for Oregon. Lanning must think very highly of Douglas and I’m sure he’s being compensated like so.

The guy he’s replacing made $700,000.

most oregon fans weren’t happy with the play of their WR’s last year, FWIW. Great recruiter but coaching was the question but they are fans so who knows!
