WR Coach Terrence Samuel leaving for Kansas

We are a better program than Kansas even with our troubles

That’s debatable. He went to Kansas
He wanted a challenge. Really, KU was already competitive this year, his first year. That win at Texas is got to be huge inside that program. I wager he gets them to a bowl next year.

Why? The passing game was 100th worse in the FBS. Hard to justify keeping your job when it was that bad. New OC likely will bring his peeps with him.
You’re better off just ignoring his posts. He posts similar nonsensically negative posts in every thread he touches.

Yeah we should be embarrassed that the assistant of arguably our worst unit who has recruited practically no one for our worst unit left SU for a 2-10 program in the middle of nowhere. Even if it was his own choice, who cares?

I forgot that Ferri covered inside WRs.
So we've gone from two coaches to zero.

I’ll take you up on that, last game is with K St

The TEs, inside and outside WR coaches are both gone, arguably the two worst units, along with the abysmal OC and QB coach. This is in line with performance based firings and it makes sense to hire an OC and let him bring in his own (or at least have input) on the pass catching coaches. These positions need to be in sync with each other. I’ve never in my life seen WR and QB units so out of touch with each other.

When you bring in a guy with a Michigan State pedigree, you expect him to recruit the talent.

I don’t put the WR performance on a one-year Coach any more than giving Lynch credit for Tucker.

Units that need cohesion (OL, DL, S, ST) are different.

So either this is an embarrassing loss - to Kansas - or someone who can bring in the talent is coming in at the position.

Yikes.

Our 3 game 9 point stint against the crown jewel of the acc, the acc champ runner up and the once beloved darling of the acc would say so.

Hopefully some of our WRs join him. Apart from Alford I will take all new faces.
Only ACC WRs we have at this point are C Jackson, Alford (needs to mature physically but has potential), and Pena in slot.

Now I know a few freshman appear to have promise so lets hope they flourish in the offseason because we NEED help at WR. We need a homerun WR transfer man.

Alford needs to mature physically??

Dude is a horse.
Compared to Taj, he looks like Bear.

Courtney Jackson is good. I’ve not written Queely off yet either.
Agree I like Alford and Jackson for sure. I'm not as high on Queeley. I think there is a role for him on the team, but I'd like to see some upgrades.

His frame is great but he lacks explosion, and quick twitch and for his size I know that is common. I think he needs to improve his route running immensely also to take a big step as a #1 WR.

You are correct compared to taj he carries more muscle, but who can get open easier and then make people miss after the catch? That is Taj, he has the quick twitch and quickness. Now if you combined both their assets into one player they would be all world lol

Very underwhelmed by Queeley this year. I think he is a solid role player for sure. But, he is not a producing ACC receiver at this point, and I do not feel he will be in his time here. Please prove me wrong, but I think a young guy may snag his starting spot in the off season.

I think his frame is rather spindly to dB knocked him around and he dropped the ball after taking a pretty good hit because he’s not strong enough to take the hit and hang on. He needs a hard year in the weight room

Queeley was one of my biggest disappointments of the starting offense players this year. I don't think he necessarily regressed but he certainly was far from taking the next step. I hate to think he's hit his ceiling but maybe he has.
