You may be right. But can you imagine Cignetti doing something like this? Credibility is everything and we come across as unserious and amateurs with this nonsense.

Cignetti is definitely a different personality than Fran. But he also has a very large alumni base to supplement NIL in addition to Big 10 money.

Trust me, I'm not happy about the way Fran handled last season at all. But this isn't on my radar as something I'm going to be critical about.

This whole saga has been a complete embarrassment for the program. A total unforced error. Another chink in the armor of Fran’s credibility.

Syracuse has to take home run swings. Indiana has to take less due to the Big 10 money safety net. When you swing for the fence, sometimes you are going to strikeout. It is what it is, just try again next time with a different approach.

Not sure its a swing for the fence. The big boys are playing, and a neigborhood kids wants to give it a go. Also, Fran is trying to own NYS. He's not going to allow a guy, and evidently a famous guy, from Syracuse, to give it a shot?
