Like I said, people don’t want to see it or don’t believe it or however you want to spin it. But it’s not all peachy, no matter what Orange colored glasses you want to wear.
My take is even if he loses, whatever is going on won't be aired anyway. So why even bother putting something out there if we have to read between the lines? Also not trying to be cynical.Fair enough. But I'm old enough to have learned a long time ago that you never put all your eggs in one basket, no matter whose it is. And just like we are all water...HCFB is just a man, with all the foibles and complexities that that entails.
To be sure, I appreciate all that the insiders do here, it's whats always made this place so special. And of course it puts the rest of us in a position of not knowing, and having to read between the lines, in order to get the real story.
Call me cynical or jaded, but my perspective is that if Fran wins, most if not all of this gets brushed aside. If he keeps losing, then all the laundry gets aired and we get the full story.
I like Fran- and hope he has enough self-awareness to keep control and steer the ship in the right way. There's great potential here- would hate to see it wasted and delayed for yet another generation of Syracuse football.
I admit I know nothing of the Q thing or what Fran has supposedly done in 2 years to piss all these people off. But if it’s headed that way, it’s likely the end of Cuse football for awhile (or should I say a continuation of mediocrity at its peak). And the Chesney train and similar types have outgrown us. Sometimes gambles don’t pay off. Hope that’s really not the case here. But in the end it probably won’t matter as most people have us on the outside looking in not too far down the road. Not sure what this post accomplishes when no one knows what warning signs you are talking about.
Either we keep the kid as a walk on or we bring in better talent on scholarship with the 105 limit. I'd rather have the better talen
I’m with SUFan44 here.
There are definitely some things to be concerned about with Fran. Like legit off the field concerns. And there are patterns. Toosii isn’t the first and he won’t be the last to speak of Fran this way. Behind the scenes there a lot more going on and people feeling the same way. Some notable people too. Let’s just say a few notable people within the Syracuse area and university Fran’s honeymoon period is over.
I’ll just end on this. Wildhack hopefully learned of the Coach Q situation. Not saying it’s gotten to that point yet. But Wildhack has to prevent it to getting to that point because it’s trending that way
My 15 year old son here in NC who has had interactions with Toosi’s HS, and for whom Cuse is his dream school, and is very in tune with social media trends regarding the program, had no idea this even happened. He was really negative about the possibility of Toosi enrolling, saying it was a joke and wished it wasn’t going to happen. He even clowned on me when he saw on my Spotify that I listened to a couple of his songs. Kind of stings when a father is labeled “unc” by his sonI can assure you that nobody thinks Fran is the bozo in this situation...the comments are filled with people clowing Toosii for thinking he would be a scholarship player
but but… the patterns. Now you’re sincerely asking …What has Fran done wrong? Besides entertaining the idea of a failing rapper who hasn’t had a hit since 2021?
Sincerely asking and not being a smartass.
It’s not black or white. Personally, i like Fran and the potential he could bring on the field. Syracuse is a small community though and non-football related issues can hurt his image. Just have to be smart.I'm so sick of people painting the world in black and white. I'm sick of taking sides. I'm tired.
