I’m certainly not trying to defend anyone (and as I said I really didn’t know a lot of the specifics). BUT… as you said, from a legal standpoint, was anything done that broke the law? It seems not.

Insinuations and general creepiness surrounding Vince is certainly all still valid.

Certainly nothing for sure was done that broke the law. That doesn’t have to be the only standard though. I’m not saying throw the guy in jail, and he’s getting paid millions of dollars a year.
Starting in 2026 PLE are moving to a new espn subscription service, from peacock.

People are not happy about this. More $, another service, probably more ads.

Bad reaction so far from fans.

I wonder how many people who watch wwe on peacock don’t have any cable sub that gets them espn, because if they do there should be no additional cost.

Yeah at first it wasn’t clear what it meant if you already had espn through cable or another means. It seems if you do, you’re okay. Obviously many don’t but many sports fans would.

Looks like it'll kinda be like UFC is--you'll get the so-called 'prelim' matches at no added cost, but you'll have to pony up for the rest of the card.

Where are you seeing that? I’ve read talk they might show the first few matches of some cards on linear espn and move the rest to streaming but you’d still have access if you’re an espn sub

Hmm I didn’t see that at all. Maybe that’s the next step, but don’t think that’s right now.

Dave Meltzer said it on Wrestling Observer Live this morning.

It's not likely to start at the very beginning of the contract, but he projects that that's what it will morph into.

Of course, I'm a dinosaur, so I still have ESPN on my cable package.

I listened to Dave this morning as well. He didn’t say that, he said what i said (well maybe I said what he said.)
I’m really curious as to how many people there are who are willing to pay $30 a month for espn but somehow also don’t have any access to ESPN at the moment.

From the WO Newsletter today:

"Shapiro qualified that by indicating that for some events, ESPN may air the first hour or the first two hours and then for the rest of the show, the key matches, you’d have to switch to the new service."

Right, the new service, which if you are an ESPN sub (and are watching the first hour of the show on ESPN, you are), you have access to.

I still haven't 'cut the cord', so I'll just wait and find out. I DO have ESPN on my current cable lineup. Once my 'free' Peacock subscription had expired, I've just done without the PLE's.

I did the Black Friday deal for Peacock… $19.99 for a year.

I would've let Peacock expire, but then they got a Bills game and kept me in it. With NFL games looking to be streaming every which way, I doubt that I'll renew it when wrestling goes away. They haven't had a regular show that's interested me in a while.

WWE is making harder to watch all of their programming with all the different networks/apps and money you now need in the United States… Raw on Netflix, Smackdown on USA, NXT on CW, PLEs vary— ESPN Unlimited (in 2026 they are all supposed to be on ESPN), Peacock (didn’t have the $19.99/year Black Friday deal). If you live outside the US, you can watch just about everything on Netflix.

Mick Foley leaving WWE because of Trump...:

"WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley is “parting ways” with the company due to its association with President Donald Trump.

Foley posted a statement today revealing that he will not be renewing his WWE Legends contract when it expires this June. Along with that, he will not be making any appearances as a representative of WWE while Trump remains in office. Foley said he’s been concerned about WWE’s relationship with Trump for months now — but the breaking point for him was seeing how Trump reacted to the death of director Rob Reiner. Foley called Trump’s reaction “incredibly cruel” and questioned how anyone in WWE could stand by him.

WWE executive Paul “Triple H” Levesque — one of Foley’s most famous in-ring rivals — is a member of Trump’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition and has appeared at White House events. There has been no public reaction from Levesque or anyone in WWE over the comments Trump made about Reiner.

This past weekend, WWE was in Washington, D.C. for John Cena’s final match. Trump himself did not attend the event, but there were White House officials there including Linda McMahon and Robert . Kennedy Jr."

Many of you likely know that Foley does incredibly-popular one-man shows that combine his wrestling stories with his own brand of humor.

If you get a VPN you can watch Canada's Netflix, and get all the content. Except the SNME that are streamed on Peacock. Those are on Youtube here.

That being said ease of watching the product, hasn't made watch any more since Netflix came into play. I have found 2025 pretty stale overall, and watched very little of the product.

That’s exactly what my brother did. He got a VPN on Black Friday. That’ll be my next purchase. Thanks for the reminder/suggestion.

Agreed. Mr. Hs has been getting a lot of heat… and even more so from Cena’s last match.

Since I'm in Canada, don't need to worry about the VPN part of it, but have heard it has been done by various wrestling fans.

Netflix Canada also has lots of historical product (sone Raw's, some Smackdowns, all the PPV's). Not quite as robust as the old WWE Network, but lots of content.
