Regional demographics have something to do with this, since college sports rivalries are meaningful to college grads. NFL is a much broader audience.

Notre Dame has sold out 255 consecutive home games dating back to 1974. That includes plenty of games against teams like their opener against Temple this year who would only have a small contingent of fans there.

Maybe but my friend goes to every game and says there are seats and Georgia fans sold it out that game
