Your Official SU-Louisville Game Thread

We can always hope but I don't see it unless there are three or four star grad transfers available and willing to come here to save the day.
We don't need that. Battle and TT are going to be very good. and we don't know anything for sure about Lydon. We will get at least one 5th year grad . Maybe two.

Yup. I'm thinking about a long term recruiting plan. We just get manhandled by teams like Carolina and Louisville. We recruit long and athletic but rarely is "strong" a part of that equation.

Maybe Moyer can be that guy. Hitting the juco ranks is gonna be necessary as well as Duarte and Ayala seem like long shots for different reasons

Exactly! That argument of his doesn't even have any merit.
LOL Yeah, freshman are winning all over the country on the road. Scoring a few points doesn't change what it is.

BTW, those deer in headlights almost in March freshmen were arguably the two best players today for Syracuse.

Um, no. UCLA went in with a bunch of freshmen into the McKale Center and won last night. We should not be getting embarrassed like this on the road with a Tourney berth still up in the air.

I blame it on the network executives who had Bill Walton in Austin instead. Someone explain that to the mere mortals?

You think TT had a good game? Better than Lydon, I'm sure.

Plenty of teams have prominent freshman and they win on the road. That excuse goes only so far.

I honestly don't think that makes one bit of difference
Your memory is way better than mine, but I think I recall a lot of people upset about him not calling time outs in critical situations and not managing the bench well, etc. Speculation that he wasn't prepared and didn't react well to certain situations.

WhenI get those deer in the headlights sensations, I wish to myself I wasnt so against drugs and was open to popping pills like Viagra.

Hop coached terribly. Sitting next to Jb wouldn't have changed that. I hope game experience will.

Not particulary but he was better than anybody except for Battle and maybe Gillon. Lydon, White, Roberson, Howard were awful.

Knight hangs his head in shame. How about Izzo?

When I think of SU vs. Knight and Izzo for some reason I don't have fond memories. That's not a knock on JB btw.

I have a friend that told me Viagra( and he made a point of saying he doesn't need it) is just great. He feels like he is `18 again.

While I agree it would help, are D1 teams allowed to schedule JUCO opponents to pad their record? I suggest we just abandon playing tough teams like Georgetown, St Johns, and UConn.

You think TT was better than Lydon today? Okay.

This argument is either here nor there - but without a freshman Malachi Richardson, in the Elite 8, with the best perimeter defensive player in the country checking him; going absolutely bonkers last year we don't make it ot the Final 4.

The freshman excuse carries weight for a few months, but it doesn't matter anymore.

JB should have made Coleman's free throw and blocked Smart's shot.
