Zeed Status?

I just have to laugh a little that it sounds like there may be some issues with a guy or two not getting enough sleep, and so the proposed solution is to make their bodies work harder earlier in the day.
I doubt he was dosing because he was over conditioned.

Hey to each his own. That's Fran's job not mine. I care about winning and it today's landscape that is all 99% of the big P4 programs care about despite how they wax poetic about being a molder of men. It's all a bunch of BS to try and recruit the best kids and win more games. I don't buy any of it not for a second.

Coaches know win or be replaced
Well, you don't win if your players aren't academically eligible.

Happy for zeed and his family. It shouldn't take him long to be ready. Kids in shape I expect him this weekend. Can't wait to see Zeed, JRS, Pena, OG, and Meeks on the field at the same time. Take out one of them and add LA and that is your lineup.

I think Zeed is fast even when he's sleeping. put him out wide and let him go!

Take responsibility.

YOU didn't believe the reasoning. YOU speculated. YOU created an "information vacuum" because you thought you deserved an explanation.

Yes. I was one of the people who speculated. Others did too. Now that they have provided information there will be no more speculation.

This all feels pretty obvious. Not sure why we are still going around.

A+B=C.

The information vacuum was filled with speculation.

Now that he is back, it will no longer be.
I'm not sure if you have ever had an illness or lost someone close to you due to an accident or disease. I have as I lost my wife to cancer. Whenever anyone asked me or still ask me how my wife died, I always answer cancer. some people will simply say they are sorry, how are you and the girls doing etc... Others ask for details. What kind of cancer, how long was she sick, how did she first find out... I almost always answered those question with I'm sorry, but I don't want to get into it I appreciate your thoughts.

Personally, when someone is going through a difficult situation, I find it best to wish them well and leave it at that. If they want to discuss it, they will, they won't need any prodding. In the case of someone who is in the public spotlight I understand the desire to know. I'm the same. I have been speculating to myself what is going on, but I haven't been digging. I think that Fran has handled this extremely well. Even to the point of how he expressed his frustration via the balloon comment.

I'm glad to see that zeed is close to being back which most likely means that he and his family are working through whatever problem and or issue they have been dealing with. I'm not sure and I don't care but my guess is sometime in the future zeed will share more details.

I hope to see him on the field for the remaining games as he adds a dimension we have been missing. Combined with JRS beginning to find his groove these are two additional weapons that make us a much better team.

Hope he comes back physically and mentally in a good place

A lineup of OG/Zeed/Pena/Meeks/JRS in the 5 wide would be pretty good

I agree 100% with the above. Zeed has the right to his privacy. Coach and program handled it well in that regard.

Separately, people fill info vacuums with speculation. I dont know why that statement is giving people heartburn. It doesnt mean I expected more info.

I'm not saying it is a particularly virtuous quality of human nature. Its really not. Our tendency, and mine, to speculate to fill that gap probably isnt a particularly righteous quality, but it exists. And to pretend it doesn't isn't realistic.

I work in PR. If there's a not awesome story half out there, I have 3 options. Get in front of it and tell the whole story, avoid it althogether, or try to tell just enough of it to quell public curiosity. I know if I do options 2 or 3, its unlikely to close the book on the chatter. And I make the calculated determination that this outcome is worth it for whatever reason. In this case, privacy. And all of the above is fine, normal, and part of the expected order.

No one did anything wrong here in the SU admin. They protected their guy.

The vacuum is still there. We have the departure and we have the return. There's a whole big vacuum there to be filled with some speculatin' and I suggest we get to work. Bigfoot is likely involved, because you know how he gets.

Agree to disagree there

This sentence doesn't make you look as good as you think it does.

I'm shocked you're in PR, honestly.
