I agree 100% with the above. Zeed has the right to his privacy. Coach and program handled it well in that regard.
Separately, people fill info vacuums with speculation. I dont know why that statement is giving people heartburn. It doesnt mean I expected more info.
I'm not saying it is a particularly virtuous quality of human nature. Its really not. Our tendency, and mine, to speculate to fill that gap probably isnt a particularly righteous quality, but it exists. And to pretend it doesn't isn't realistic.
I work in PR. If there's a not awesome story half out there, I have 3 options. Get in front of it and tell the whole story, avoid it althogether, or try to tell just enough of it to quell public curiosity. I know if I do options 2 or 3, its unlikely to close the book on the chatter. And I make the calculated determination that this outcome is worth it for whatever reason. In this case, privacy. And all of the above is fine, normal, and part of the expected order.
No one did anything wrong here in the SU admin. They protected their guy.
