Regardless of his status, we miss him. As good as the offense has been, it’s stifled with a lack of a deep threat. Sure, Hatcher has tried to fill in, but Zeed was it going into this year. Now we’ve hardly attempted long balls. Part of it is protecting the QB long enough for him to drop back while the pattern develops, but the other part is we lack a speedster who can consistently get separation and catch. By all accounts, McCord and Hynes had chemistry in preseason. It’s just a shame we haven’t been able to see it materialize on the field. I don’t think it’s always apparent how much we miss a WR who can take the top off and clear out the middle for guys like Pena and Gadsen. It would make this offense incredibly dynamic. I love the way we work the ball down the field and chew clock but every once in a while it’d be nice to get quick and easy points.

That may be the case but then why would his family be attending road games or sitting with the coach’s wife?

He's taking care of an undisclosed personal / family issue.

Fran won't take anymore questions about it, but he did seem to think Zeed would be back soon.

Unless Zeed reactivates his social media accounts and makes a statement, I suspect we won't hear anything official about it.

He is still listed on the roster.

Happens all the time with people his age. Granted they may not all play college football but not like he was a name brand superstar. Sometimes stuff happens in peoples life and they need to unplug. Hope he’s getting whatever he needs.

Never want to lose a talent like Zeed but we’re bringing in 6 more wide receiver recruits, still have Ross and Hornsby waiting in the wings, and Meeks is the only senior. I think he’s done, hope hes not, hope everything is ok, but so it goes.

What makes you think you are owed any detailed truths if it is deemed a private family matter? I respect he is not on social media right now and that he is working through what needs to be worked through in private. Not everything is owed to us.
