Zeed Status?

j
If it comes out that there was a serious health issue with someone in his family, this will be a sad thread to look back at.

No need to speculate. Let Zeed take the time he needs. If he comes back this season, great.
Exactly. Also I keep opening this looking for news only to find cringe posts or posts that have nothing to do with Zeed or his situation. why?

Agreed. At this point let him get whatever the issue is resolved take a RS and come back next year.
He already took a RS last year at Georgia.

If it helps, and I'm certain it doesn't, I really had a thing for Miss Teschmacher. Even though I was only 7 or 8 years old at the time.
Maybe she just ruined you for all other women? Nowhere to go but down from there.

What makes you think you are owed any detailed truths if it is deemed a private family matter? I respect he is not on social media right now and that he is working through what needs to be worked through in private. Not everything is owed to us.
Nothing is owed. But people fill information vacuums.

Miss Ballbreaker?

The internet has really broken some of you...
How?

I'm not making a value judgment. I'm saying that information vacuums get filled by speculation. That's just the world we live in.

I do PR for a living. When there is an information vacuum out there we aggressively seek to fill it with our messaging. We seek to own the narrative. We do that by being authentic. I know if its limited or shoddy or insincere it won't be accepted. It's just how we function as a society.

I'm not criticizing anyone. There are clearly rules that limit what can be said. But I'm just tired of people thinking that our society is going to accept a single one line phrase for months without beginning to speculate. That's just not how our wacky populace works, especially in 2024. Information vacuums get filled.

Saying that fans weren't told the truth sure sounds like a value judgement. Who did not tell them the truth? Fran said Zeed was dealing with a personal matter (paraphrasing here).

Substitute "whole story" then . Point is, i get why they are limited in what they can say. But human nature is to fill in the gaps. Its just what it is. That's people who do what I do get get paid to do what I do.

I feel fine and I agree that it is human nature to fill in these gaps. I was just pointing out that people were pushing back a bit on what you wrote because they read the actual words you typed.

They’re basically employees now, it kind of is. We don’t need specifics but you can’t just tell your employer “I’ll see you when I see you” and expect no questions

I don't mind push back. I appreciate and respect my fellow Orange fans and we can agree to disagree. I dont like when fans are chastised for speculating on a situation that has a million holes in its story and doesnt appear to make sense. But I can't blame the University here. I don't think fans are owed a thing. But I wont fault them here or anywhere for speculating. its literally human nature to speculate. There is one way to end speculation. Otherwise, its on the fans to be respectful and not assume the worst or rumor monger along the way.

What about Justus Ross Simmons? Wasn't he supposed to stretch the field and challenge for #1?
Is he still dealing with an injury or will he be ready to step up at Pittsburgh?
He could be a game changer going forward.
I don't think he even has a catch yet this year.
The Pitt cornerbacks are the most aggressive and physical cornerbacks in the ACC. They commit pass interference all game long but if the WRs they are covering are not also tough and physical and fight to get the ball, the refs will swallow their whistles.

We need big, strong, tough receivers for this game more than any other. Jackson is going to be important here. So will OG. JRS has gotten some snaps the last couple of games and hopefully after a bye week will be 100% or very close. It would be great if he could make some catches next Thursday.

Guys like Pena, Hatcher and Gill are going to have a tough time getting open against their thugs.

We can only hope that, with all the PI's that Pitt will get away with, they'll at least get whistled for eye-gouging.
