2024 Schedule

Wow, what a bunch of tools.

Either that or yiur frame of reference is all underclassman.

Jr & Sr year, I couldn’t WAIT to get back to school. Left every Thanksgiving Friday morning/early afternoon to get back to party central and the less crowded bars with a fairly large group of professional partners, including lots of girls.

I don’t even remember if we had a game that Saturday or not, but if we did, that was a bonus!
Me too! But I do recall we actually did play a game:) A bunch of us came back early after turkey day for two yrs we had a t day weekend home game.. but we were not happy with the bigger bunch that did not, damnit!

Boston is a destination.. to Miami fans Syracuse is not.. and they didnt travel in Droves from Miami to Boston either.

I was told they had some big travel plans for the first time back to SU In years.. They have already been scrapped.

The weather could suck. The flying and hotel cost will be bad

SU fans travel pretty well.. but look at local SU games.. What was the last team that came in force? Clemson?

Bills fans were all over in Miami, how many were up here that traveled?
Miami fans that were in the dome in the BE days (wasn’t many) were mostly upstate ny bandwagon fans who are probably now Bama fans.

i know a bunch of Miami people that have been waiting for ever to get back up here and now wont be coming. that is the worst game possible for a travel team.. No Miami fans and no students and half the locals will struggle to come

Who gives a damn if the 40-50 Miami fans don’t come? They never traveled to Syracuse during the BE days either.

Who cares? If Miami fans don't want to come to Syracuse, then whatever.

Syracuse and UConn worked together to adjust the schedule for their remaining series so that the Orange didn't lose a home game this year. As a result, SU will now host the Huskies in 2024 and 2025. 'Cuse will play at Connecticut in 2026 and 2027.
What home game were we going to lose?

I did the same at Oswego. Usually a good party or two after Thanksgiving.

Very true, but if you're staying mid strip you can jump the free tram taking you from the Bellagio to Park MGM, walk through NYNY, cross the street and jump the other free tram to Luxor or Mandalay bay to get to the stadium.

Mid strip might be a good idea for first timers, as it gives you the option to explore in either direction, without trying to walk the length of the strip lol
Is the game being played at Allegiant stadium or UNLVs stadium?

Are there Miami fans who travel? Are there Miami fans?

Is the game being played at Allegiant stadium or UNLVs stadium?

Apparently one of the city's "demands" when they were discussing building Allegiant, was that UNLV would be able to play all home games there. I don't think they've used Sam Boyd for anything, besides maybe covid stuff, since Allegiant was built.

Which is a bummer because it's like 5 mins from the house, looks like a cool stadium, and from the photos I've seen has some amazing views.

Allegiant Stadium is pretty epic though. Walking across a shut downed overpass, crossing over a traffic packed I-15, staring off at the buildings on the strip, with 20-70k people after a game, pouring into the casino and partying for a few hours is pretty epic too.

Luxor just did some remodeling. It was so bad last year, UCONN's basketball up and left mid stay lol. It's cheap, it's close, I like their craps tables.

I stayed at Luxor shortly after it opened in ‘93, and it was fantastic. I stayed again about five years ago and swore never again, it had clearly seen better days. With the remodeling, is it back to at least adequate? Or would you suggest other options in that area would be safer choices?

Is this schedule and our buzz with Fran difficult enough to get us ranked prior to NC State if we are undefeated?

Could we crack the top 25 before UNLV?

I think this year was an outlier with the preseason ranked teams all taking a while to lose but even if we had beaten Clemson we still wouldn't have had a number the following week and would have been 27/28 in votes in both polls.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say it’s because of our record.

When we were good, we had no problem getting big crowds on that weekend.
Good record reduced capacity first visit in decades we will have a solid crowd for that one.

Not sure how we’d go about reselling unused student season tickets.

Oh the horror of having an attractive former rival at home the same weekend as the bluebloods like Michigan and Ohio State play each other…lol. Hopefully no nooner of course.
