Cats and dogs living together.
It's the end of days.
This board would be in officiating meltdown right now if the outcome was different. I'm still ecstatic that SU got the W. Enjoy it and who cares what anyone says.
jerami grant. 10 for 10. and we needed every one! cojones.
Officiating sucked for both sides IMO, you would have thought the ACC refs would have given Duke the edge.
A team that shoots 40 threes doesn't draw a lot of fouls. I thought they got away with more than we did.
I think the score will be evened out soon enough. We got helped. Shhhhhhhhhhhhh..
Their board is really ridiculous about it - talking about refs being paid off is just small time. To hear the school that patented the flop complain about Xmas is laughable.
Call me naive, but I expected them to be above that.
Dickie V., the worlds biggest Duke fan, said the officiating was excellent.
I think that settles it.
Not me...they had one bad call against them all night. We had more against us. Theirs just happened at the end.
You do realize that he says that at the end of every game, right?
I can almost excuse most behaviour from the losing party in a game like this.
I was thinking that when Dawkins hit that 3 that put htem ahead, how was I going to survive a loss.
They are in the 5 stages of grief. It will run its course.
For all of the calls Duke gets game in and game out, the officials should be able to do no wrong in their eyes.
Duke ALWAYS bitches about the officiating. When the batteries in Ks remote goes dead and he can't control the refs, it gets chaotic. If Duke loses, they blame it on the refs. If Duke wins, it's because they're the best in the world. Doesn't matter who they play.
I was amazed at all the props he gave Syracuse. He actually respected that we were 20-0 and Duke had 4 losses (now five). It was an epic battle and I expect no less in Cameron.
Well I'm sure well be bitching about the refs and we play down there. You know darn well the refs will kill us in the return game.
To be fair, we always bitch about the refs.
And for good reason.
Where's their board?
Epic Death Stare for the Ref after Parker's 5th.
personal foul on matt jones. please pass the mace.
Seriously, I have never been more sure of anything.
Duke got hosed a bit. Only a bit, because they never got called for several 3 sec plays.
Do we go to other team's boards to complain? I hope we're not that douchy.
Is this ironclad?
Didn't Cooney get punched?
And didn't two Duke players commit ejection-worthy fouls in the last half-minute?
Everyone should be complaining about the officiating. It's a disgrace.
Agreed - Ennis was getting severely hand-checked with two hands the entire game - not one call - so much for the new rules. Also when Parker put his elbow into Christmas for his 5th foul that was at least the third time he had done the same thing. Duke got some bad ones as well.
LOL -- That's awesome.
Even funnier, Duke fans are the ones that coined this phrase:
I've never understood going to other team's boards to begin with. What's your best case scenario? They don't hate you?
It's a page right out of the UConn handbook.
I'd say Georgetown, but they don't have fans.
Bwaa haaa haaa haaa...
I was a little surprised that tackling Fair into another player wasn't a technical at the end. Maybe b/c it was deemed not intentional?
Watched a vine showing the block on the dunk. It was posted by a Duke fan to prove it was a foul.
What I saw was the defender extending an arm straight and any incidental contact initiated by the offensive player.
I've gone from thinking syracuse got lucky to thinking it was an absolute non call.
if we had good officiating we would have won by 10 in regulation. Duke was holding our guards all night.
my problem with the foul (and perhaps the reason it was reviewed) was that i thought the initial contact was to c.j.'s head. the full body takedown came after. i thought above the shoulders could be called flagrant.
What's funny is while one guy came high the other shoved him in the back. Which was making a play on the ball exactly?
My issue with that call is, I guarantee its a flagrant at any other point in the game. The only reason they didn't call it is math. Would have decided game
"Fair was not tackled"-Duke Fan on Orange Board. What game was he watching?
