If you’re in need of a Syracuse basketball fix tonight, ESPNU is showing the SU-UConn Big East tournament game from 2009; the 6OT game.

Watching 6 ot game. Some observation:

-rautins played the three in the zone. Why can’t buddy? Is it because we don’t have the beef down low to compensate? Might have freed minutes up for brycen.
-j Flynn is clearly best player on court although thabeet was dominate down low. Imagine thabeet is what Jb thought chukwu could be.
-rautins is way more athletic than buddy and way bigger than joe.
-talent on team is insane. Flynn Devo Harris onuaku Jackson rautins and players like kjo who don’t even get in
-awesome brand of basketball. Up and down. Intense. Physical
-how did we ever beat a team w both Jeff adrien and Stanley Robinson. Those guys like kryptonite
-cuse team being ranked 20 is insane. Prob a top 5 team this year if not better

If you look at who that SU team lost to...that schedule was so brutal. There were a couple crappy teams at the bottom of the BE that year, but if you took the top 11-12 teams - amazing league. So many really good teams. That Cuse team goes 14-4 or so in many other seasons. They killed it non league beating Florida and Kansas.

With the amount of mfers you could clearly lip read Devo screaming over the years, it’s a bit shocking that he didn’t use that as his noun of choice in that case.

This game was nearly perfect but the only thing that could’ve enhanced it is I honestly wish both teams came to center court & took a bow after it was over. Like a Broadway cast. I’m entirely serious.

This wasn’t a game, this was an iconic event.
