Rams to LA, with Chargers getting first crack through Jan 16, 2017, then Raiders have preference, per sources.

So the Chargers can use this for leverage to get a new public financed stadium or go to LA. Then the Raiders can do the same.

The Miami Dolphins will play two games in LA Coliseum next year. @Rams and @Chargers that will be weird.

Buffalo will play in LA against the Rams.

AFC and NFC West will each have one road game in LA.

Rams are playing a home against the Giants in London next year.

So compromise is: #Rams in Inglewood. #Chargers can join or stay home for $100 mil in funding. #Raiders stay home, they get $100 mil funding

  2. Charles Robinson ‏@CharlesRobinson
#Dolphins Stephen Ross also says #Chargers and Raiders each would receive $100 mil in stadium funding if they build in their current cities.

    Charles Robinson ‏@CharlesRobinson
#Dolphins Stephen Ross says #Chargers delay on LA move gives them chance to work out a stadium in San Diego.

  3. Charles Robinson ‏@CharlesRobinson
#Patriots Robert Kraft just exited calling the LA vote a "great solution".

    Charles Robinson ‏@CharlesRobinson
#Rams are in immediately. #Chargers have choice to move to LA (Inglewood) now or after a predetermined delay.

I guess what I heard about the Rams and Kroenke were dead on as I assumed. A guy worth that much that is shovel ready, isn't playing.

At the time I was saying to run three QB sneaks = no hand-offs - not in the open field where you can get stripped - gain three yards instead of losing three yards - eat up more clock than taking a knee. Second choice though was taking a knee.

Yeah that would have worked.

A 46 yarder in those conditions are far from a gimme, in fact it would have been a tough fg to make. You are one first down from icing the game. Don't be a moron and commit 30 yards in personal fouls and you win.

Not all assured that they would have won even without the PFs. Don't fumble and you win. The rain had lessened at the end of the game. Better than 50/50 he makes it.

I wouldn't take a knee. If you miss that 46 yarder (certainly plausible), Pitt gets the ball close to mid field only needing a FG to win with enough time to do so.

The big deal is the time outs. It's not easy to move 30 yards plus with no timeouts. You get tackled inbounds a couple of times and the game is over.

We will have to agree to disagree, I would have tried to run it 3 times, take as much time off the clock as possible, and tried to ice the game with a first down.

Lol, Al Jazeera America is being shut down. Peyton: "I'm sure it's going to be just devastating to all of their viewers".

I would be, Al Jazeera is my go to source for sports, how will I get my info now?

That's conventional wisdom in the nfl so not saying you're crazy. But that is hard to do cuz the D knows you're going to run so they're lined up to stuff and strip. Exactly what happened.

Alsacs just seeing all this now, but 1 thing I want to belatedly add...the NFL has already started swapping gams from network to network without regard for conference affiliation.

IMO: eventually the package will be who bids higher for the better 4pm and night games as decided by the league office. AFC v NFC tv rights will be a thing of the past.

To degree I agree with you but the NFL still wants basic templates for fans in markets to follow and know what network has their team covered for the most part. The NFL has given CBS more NFC vs. NFC because the NFC markets are larger overall than the AFC markets. Fox has only been given AFC vs. AFC games when the NFL shifted to better games to be more accessible for fans in each broadcast window.

NFC has NYC/Philly/DC/Dallas/Chicago/SF as its top markets with historical franchise GB
AFC has Boston/NYC Jr./Pitt/Baltimore/Denver/Oakland/Houston as its top markets.

The NFC cities have more eye balls. The NFL would have required one of SD/Oak to relocate to the NFC if they had accepted their joint bid and both of those teams realized that. Just so each conference would have had an LA team. SD was likely going to the NFC it could have been Oak but the Raiders rivalries mean more to the NFL than the Chargers ones and Seattle has a long history in the AFC West.

I do agree with your premise but until we see intra-NFC East games on CBS or Patriots-Broncos/Colts on FOX I don't think it will happen till the next TV contract in 2022.

Taking your points and expanding on it...let's say the 1pmers stay by conf affiliation bid, but the now 4:30s, join the 'night' package. With allowance for random home market only 4s.

Bids on:

- 1pm games for 2 networks by conf
- 430pm games separate, but = 8&8 with joint week 17 and no conf affiliation
- Thursday Night
- Sunday Night
- Monday Night

That makes a lot of sense. If the NFL basically says the 4:30 doubleheader games become interchangeable and no longer exclusive by conference for each network. Thus you would get Pats-Broncos on FOX, Giants-Eagles on CBS, Colts-Jets on FOX and mix the matchups up. That could definitely happen.

Scooch could probably throw actual ratings # out, but I think I read where the 4:30s crush it.

Sometimes higher than Thursday and Monday, maybe even Sunday night.

Pats 27 Chiefs 20

Did Eagles fans have Vietnam flashbacks with that last Chiefs drive? I mean What Andy Reid LEARN TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS.

The Pats offense was back to normal with Edelman/Amendola/Gronk back in the lineup. They hadn't looked like that healthy since week 9.

So next week CBS gets there Brady-Manning bowl for the AFC title game.

If the Pats are healthy they should win that game.

Also damn is Alex Smith tough and underrated. That guy played really good but his coach freaking killed them. How they didn't run a play before the 2 minute warning was amazing. It took them 1:27 play clock time to get 1 yard.

What is it with Reid and Clock management debacles, you think he would have learned. very risky play by the pats at the end, but the game was pretty much as I expected it to be.

Stunning how professionals can be so inept. Not sure which was worse - the whole team's lack of urgency - not passing on 1st down, running into the middle of the defense - not having 2 plays called with the 2 minute warning in mind - not having a hurry up with a 2nd play called before the 2 minute warning. Dreadful.

fools gold chefs...check
14 pt spread for the majority of the game...check

check down Charlie eh.
Wasn't that impressed with pats d and I didn't hear Houston's name or Hali until the last play. They didn't touch Brady.
We'll see what happens tomorrow, and then we can talk about next week.

Choked. Reid sucks.

Watching that "hurry up" offense was just infuriating for he Chiefs fans here in KC. I'm first and foremost a Bills fan but I cheer for the local team also. It was a fun ride but my goodness, that was just infuriating. I don't get the X's and O's in football very much, but I sure as heck understand when it's time to move your butt.
