Madson walked Pierce in game 1 on 4 pitches. That is the main reason I think Cora let him hit.
The cold affected Madson’s grip on the curve thus he was in trouble. He couldn’t locate his fastball.
After yesterday that was a bad call by Roberts. He should have gone to Biaz as that bases loaded appearances could have been the biggest at-bat.
Roberts is going with the same pitchers in the same spots Madson, now Urias just like yesterday. It has to be mapped out for him by the LA FO.
There is no way that Pomeratz is going to start a game in this series. He gets in after E-Rod was used earlier in the game against some random leftie.

Yup the David Price redemption tour rolls on. He'll never live up to that contract but if the Sox win this WS then a lot of heat will come off him.
Seems like they are going porcello for 3, then it would seem the plan is eovaldi for four. I like that switch b/c Buehler is a stud so might as well stagger eovaldi to give yourself a bit of an edge vs. Hill in game 4.
Be interesting to see if they use Price in the BP in LA b/c it’s likely 5 days between now and his next start.

Never really thought of the short throw. Strategically it is still a poor decision IMO.
I am not a Jays fan, but follow them casually more than any other team. I am a baseball fan who watches quite a bit less than I used to. My cheering for a baseball team ended in 2004 when the Expos moved to Washington.

I'd have pulled a Francona and gone with Kelsey Jansen in the 5th inning. That was the most important inning of the game. Once Ryu couldn't put away their #9 hitting catcher on an 0-2 count it was game over.
