This sets up another trade now...Voit and Frazier for a SP. Encarnacion played mostly 1B for M's. Voit's value is high now, he's young, low cost and under control. Frazier is a quality hitter. So Yanks are back to getting older, slower, HR dependent, and K excessive. Yuck. Hicks and Stanton are injury prone. Gardner is turning 36. When Frazier leaves Yanks have no quality OF depth above A ball. Will be paying for a FA OF soon.

I can see how Frazier can feel like it's a bit of a slap in the face to be sent down prior to Tauchman. I'm guessing the Yanks looked at TB's Monday night pitcher (a righty Chirinos) and decided that Tauchman's lefty bat was more likely to come in handy. Tauchman will be en route to SWB at the end of the game anyway.
