The Summer Olympic Games will likely open under a COVID-19 state of emergency in Tokyo. Officials in Japan are expected to make a decision this week to reinstate the state of emergency until Aug. 22.

USWNT with a nightmare start losing 3-0 to Sweden. They have been really good leading up to the Olympics so fully expect a rebound but rough start.

Just a quick thought before the live feed begins at 6:55 AM today...

After all the athletes take a lap around the stadium, will they all congregate in the infield, or will someone figure out it's probably better to have them sit in the empty stands for the rest of the ceremony?
