2021 Coaching Carousel

If true, it would definitely make things interesting.

New hires are never a guarantee even hiring someone with past success. It’s like round 1 draft picks in the NFL. That will be a really tough guy to replace.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Clemson's coordinators are looking to leave now after a "down" year. You can continue to hold off when the team's doing great. After that, guys want to go before they lose their shine.

All this churning of the coaching carousel is going to make more churning in the portal.

And you and I both know that many of the coaches who go to a new school aren't going to say anything until after early signing day or their current schools' bowl game.
Just recording!

And I'm just pointing out the facts as some on here would take your post and say...how come SU hasn't hired an OC yet. ;)

It would have been more advantageous to get it done before the early signing period but its more important to get it right. 1 more OV weekend before early signing period so it looks like the January recruiting period and late signing day is going to be critical for the program.

CSU is really trying to get back to being good again. Likely in case there is another expansion. Stealing the HC from a peer program. They used to be good under Sonny Lubick but he last coached in 2007. They have only had 2 seasons better than 7-6 in the last 19 seasons. and one of those was an 8-6 season. The last 4 seasons at Nevada Norvell was 7-6 or better and 30-19 overall.

This would be like us hiring Clawson. Weird situation

Saw this. Dino should be making a call and check the level of interest. Getting Jason Taylor to move to Syracuse may be far fetched but TRY! Make a call! Dude is tied into every big high school in South Florida. Oronde Gadsden II is at Syracuse who JT is close with him and that family being from that South Florida pipeline and he played with his father. If Taylor is serious about entering college coaching, sure Syracuse would be a stepping stone job for him but try and gauge his level of interest.
