2021 Fall Camp Starts Friday August 6th

Gotcha. Thats good info. I dont know how schools decide which software to use for their cut ups. Im just telling you I've seen hudl as well. Again no one is happy that we are getting no content. You are ranting about things that weve been ranting on for years. What we disagree on is the reason why. Dino has been like this since he's been a head coach. Even when he was winning MAC and OVC championships. We are all frustrated.
Thanks for the info on Dino always being tight-shipped. I said it showed weakness which was probably a little harsh on my part

I just wish someone would tell Dino that he’s trying to get Cuse fans to watch tv and sell tickets to The Dome and not sell 10k or 20k stadiums. Just for comparison the official Bowling Green Football IG has 1,500 followers while Cuse has 58k.

A little more August info/hype seems like it would go a long way. I know you’re just the messenger haha

No doubt it's a yearly rant around this time as we crave more info! Just wish someone would help Dino realize that fan sentiment and public relations is important at the ACC level and not so important in Bowling Green, OH and Charleston, IL.

Good thoughts. We need more fans making noise about this. Maybe they'll take it serious and come up with more creative ways to showcase the program.

With NIL can players request to be paid for this type of marketing for the team or can they only be paid from individuals independent of the school?

My point went over your head. It’s not about pre-season camp specifically.
No it didn’t. If SU isn’t winning, the casual sometime fan doesn’t care about access. The team needs to win to create “demand”. The FB nerd/hard core fan isn’t going anywhere, access or not.
i used to cherish the days I could get up to Manley to watch practice. I worked with a guy who, in the late 80’s, spent at least $500 on month calling “800” recruiting #s. I sought the inside scoop because I was a rabid fan, and the team was great.
Now I’m a meh fan: lacking inside stuff doesn’t bother me. I don’t pay extra for a game. If it’s on and I’m home and not doing other stuff, I’ll watch. If we are sucky, I’ll turn it off.

The casual fan who reads the sports section would definitely check out the articles or watch the 11pm news. They’ve killed off the casual fan and are on their way to killing off the diehard fan. I’ve never been more apathetic about the program in my life. No access I find myself just not caring. I don’t even know when the Ohio game is.

the casual fans asks, how they looking, how’s the qb situation, any up and coming stars? The diehard fan has no clue. We’re just expected to show up on game day. Ok.

I think this is a little dramatic.

My thought would also be the time media is allowed to film practice. If they allow it from 9:50 until 10 am, and practice starts at 9:30, my thought is we'd be seeing the same video over and over (warm ups, dynamic stretching, basic videos to get players loose rather than actual on-field schemes).

Not great news on Cornelius, was really hoping he'd take hold of CB2.
At least he is limited. Here we go again with Dakota Davis in a walking boot. Arguably best lineman when healthy.

Let me save Dino the time and paraphrase the answer of the first question he will receive today - How is Dakota Davis doing and when can we expect him back? “I haven’t spoken with the team doctors and they decide when a player can return so I don’t know and won’t know until he is back.”

Thanks for the thoughtful response.

You can market and sell an ok restaurant or product. It starts with creating excitement and interest. The winning is up to the coaching staff but that doesn’t mean you can’t sell season passes, clothing, etc. A bad product can survive for some length of time by being marketed. Not promoting/marketing practices before the season starts is lazy. Winning helps but you can start excitement from zero after winning or have excitement already built up prior to winning. Not doing the basics that most other programs do is lazy. Don’t complain about fans if you can’t market the product. If winning is the formula, then definitely don’t complain about fan participation if you’re the coach.
Marrone had at least one full spring of open practices in the dome. Didn’t do squat for sales or creating buzz

the man is doing the job the way he thinks he needs to.

how on earth do you know it didn't do squat for sales or creating buzz?

Yeah, doing something for one year in a business to boost sales through marketing, isn’t going to cut it either. That’s as lazy as not doing it at all. I’m surprised basic marketing concepts are so hard for people on here.
