I don't disagree with this in totality but right now we are undefeated which is why the athletic department NEEDS to be leveraging camp to feed the fan base positive news. You can't do that once things start going south. The whole paranoia from Dino and his staff is laughable, especially when your team video guys or athletic department video folks can help you craft the message.

Opposing coaches have five years of film of Dino at Syracuse - there aren't going to be any surprises anymore. If they are running new packages/gimmick stuff - just don't include that in the clips. But put some stuff out there for the fans to get a taste and decide if they want to come to games or not. The casual fans all think we are going to suck. The secrecy doesn't help this sentiment.

no different than most coaches, most coaches dont have a sport that people actually want to ask how practice went.. its like HS where parents want to come and watch and coaches dont like it or allow it but it some places that have to..

PR isn’t something you only do when you win. It’s an endless thing. Every day you don’t promote yourself some other team is.

Keep in mind this affects NIL stuff. You want your name out there if you are doing good at practices. Then you get negative recruiting like “if you really want to sell your brand don’t go to syracuse cause they don’t promote you like we will. Stuff like that matters

You think opponents may have figured out we're going to run up the middle or throw to the sidelines, while ignoring the Tight ends? I know I have.

I definitely think it will hurt Schiano’s defense but other than that I’m not a fan of flipping QB’s. It rarely works and that’s not a coincidence. Some one needs to take full control of the offense after the first couple games.

I agree, and I have a sense that that is exactly what will happen. I think they can both play an important role that will benefit the other, though.

I can't buy the fact that it's not about paranoia. Seemingly every other program in the ACC and the country have figured out a way to provide access to the program without it being an issue. Dino needs to stop being a dinosaur (pun not intended?) and open up the doors a bit.

His paranoia (for other coaches seeing stuff) is what is keeping him from allowing the internal Cuse media teams from putting out compelling content during August, which just so happens to be the biggest month of the year when it comes to selling tickets for games in the Dome this Fall.

NFL Training Camps have been all over NFL Network like I’ve never seen before. Literally every minute of practice is out there for the world to see.

If the returning 1-10 Orange coaches are worried about Dave Clausen scouting routes vs air in a 60-second social media post then edit the damn thing and then Adios.

I know that outside of some basic pass game concepts/quick game deciphering, there’s not much I glean from the clips.

You have the best communications school in the country, put out some gd material to build some buzz. It’s bad enough we’re going to be pulling 15-20k fans in a brand new stadium bc of all the testing & vaccination issues. Try to help yourself by at least looking cool for six fricking minutes.

Yup - cut ups from every opponent in every down/distance/situation you can imagine. That’s what them GA’s are doing - late nights putting together the cut ups.

It’s been a couple of years, but there were position coaches at SU and other schools that used to share HUDL clips & playlists with me.

Might’ve very well changed in the past handful of years though.

You could be right but I do know for a fact that ACC schools are all with XOS or DVSport and don't upload their game film to Hudl. Maybe clinic stuff? Who knows. Hudl has quite the monopoly on the high school game!

Gotcha. Thats good info. I dont know how schools decide which software to use for their cut ups. Im just telling you I've seen hudl as well. Again no one is happy that we are getting no content. You are ranting about things that weve been ranting on for years. What we disagree on is the reason why. Dino has been like this since he's been a head coach. Even when he was winning MAC and OVC championships. We are all frustrated.
