WAIT. Are you talking about 21 seconds? That's not his TaT. His is an Angel, that is a face. That bugged the ever living crap out of me. I don't know who that is. Rondi broke his leg, all healed up. Who is that?Joe Rondi with a cameo? Interesting if true.
Schrader doesn't struggle throwingI dont know how anyone knows who has more potential., we know one guy can throw given time but maybe struggles to elude pass rush.. we know one guy can run around , but struggles to throw. until we know what the oline is gonna do we dont really know who can do what in this offense. I am on the Oline has to block train.. if they do then the QBs get a chance to show what then do. if the oline cant block then we become a more run the ball and throw when we can offense and that points towards Shrader. too soon to say thats where we are headed.
So we can tell this based on his vast amount of throwing experience?Schrader doesn't struggle throwing
So we can tell this based on his vast amount of throwing experience?
He has an arm, but beyond that we just have his stats of 55% and an 8-5 TD ratio.
His clear advantage is his legs in a system that was really more running based.
He has thrown roughly 1/4 of the passes that TD has and been sacked 1/5 as many times.. So maybe he escapes a bit better but still not much to go by.
If we want to use the QB more in the running game then he has the advantage. if we want to use the QB in the passing game where the oline blocks, its probably TD
coaches will tell us in 4 weeks. I hope they start out using the QB that works best with whatever the oline is showing us.
They always know more prior to the scandal than they let on.I mean he didn’t seem to know what was going on with the women’s basketball team.
I agree.. we have one guy with limited games throwing a little. and one game with a decent chunk of games running for his life. If the oline improves then we get to see what each QB can do. if it plays like it has the last season you pretty much have to go down the new QB path to try and move the ball.I mean you equally can’t really say that he struggles or doesn’t struggle with throwing.
Im sure a lot has changed in the last year plus that he hasn’t played QB.
Let’s hold judgement on if he can throw or not throw when we see him actually throwing in a game
Now he showed some issues with accuracy previously but that was a decent amount of time ago. We haven’t seen him really throw at Syracuse.
Nothing about his throwing can be posted as a fact….yet

hey. if passing is close to equal but running is better, then that decision to use the QB more in a running game has to be made if they want to go down that path.Im going based on what i have been told.
That’s ok, a little optimism won’t kill this board. I’m with you.I thought that this was finally going to be the year where I didn’t do this to myself BUT
I think we’re going to be good
I think there is plenty reason for optimism especially depending on what your expectations are. If you think 10-3 then that might leave you disappointed, but I think fighting for a bowl game is a reasonable hope for this team. 3-1 first four games. Win 2 of 3 in the home games conference slate (wake, BC or Pitt, not counting Clemson is this). Find a way to steal one away (FSU, nc state, Lville, va tech). Not easy but I think reasonable. That’s ok, a little optimism won’t kill this board. I’m with you.
FWIW watched the video again of most of Shrader's pass and rushing attempts (posted right below) and he looks like the anti-Devito (For good and bad). Definitely isn't afraid to take chances and give his receiver a chance to make plays. Has some very accurate throws, but sometimes not careful enough with protecting the ball. Runs fearlessly and gives & takes a bunch of shots. His OL's pass blocking looked almost as bad as ours. Definitely think he can help us and think we'll see 2 QB's (at least) over the course of the year.So we can tell this based on his vast amount of throwing experience?

yeah then they should've stepped in a long time ago.
Wildhack's shine is starting to tarnish. Syracuse's big 3 sports are all tanking on his watch.

Don’t have enough info to render judgment on that, I just bet he knew more than nothing and not enough to actyeah then they should've stepped in a long time ago.

My fantasy is a two-headed QB monster that is more TD or GS based on opponent and gameplan. I'd love to see us attack Ohio with TD on the field and a fairly conservative ground game, and then reveal the dual-threat Schrader after a series or two at home against RU. Get the fireworks in the dome properly started!I thought that this was finally going to be the year where I didn’t do this to myself BUT

I definitely think it will hurt Schiano’s defense but other than that I’m not a fan of flipping QB’s. It rarely works and that’s not a coincidence. Some one needs to take full control of the offense after the first couple games. My fantasy is a two-headed QB monster that is more TD or GS based on opponent and gameplan. Schiano has always been a poor in-game coach with pretty awful adjustments; I want to see him blow a gasket in real time and watch the smoke rise from his ears.
Yep. You can improve the game-day environment and promote on social media as much as you want but nobody will come to see a losing team. Don’t really care what you do.
