2021 Fall Camp Starts Friday August 6th

Come on, be honest. Your point is to argue and nitpick against most criticism. You aren’t really trying to uncover new information. While it is a noble thing to try to protect the players and coaches it seems to blind you from the reality of certain situations.
Lol. Nope. I like a good argument and I like Syracuse. I don’t like lazy analysis. I own up to crap when I’m wrong.

I was hoping you’d have pushed my assumption on TD. HRE Otto IV did a good job. We ended up in kind of agreement.

Didn’t really expect you to admit it, that’s your shtick and you’re going to stick to it.

Injury updates

Along with the two offensive linemen, Syracuse continues to practice without projected starting defensive tackle McKinley Williams (illness) and true freshman running back Josh Hough (leg injury).

Williams attended practice in street clothes on Thursday but was not observed during the 10 minutes open to reporters on Friday. Hough continued to wear a bulky brace.

Tight end Luke Benson returned to practice (Babers had previously dubbed his injury an owie) and worked out in a green jersey indicating limited participation. Defensive backs Neil Nunn and Ben Labrosse, and defensive lineman Stephen Linton, also worked out in a limited capacity.

This is important. No matter what insight I might provide here. I am always trying to learn more. Even when Im disputing something it doesn’t mean I’m not learning from that person. I enjoy hearing different perspectives. I definitely appreciate the guys on this board that dig deeper and provide statistics and data. Something I’m too lazy to do. Lol.

Cav came back for a pic? Lol.

Believe what you want. In my experience here, posters who don't want to do the homework and make it personal, don't have much to say.

Best of luck to you.

Agreed, money. You have insight and coaching knowledge I appreciate a great deal. Can't afraid to be wrong publicly, and then if you are it's always better to own it.

My early days here taught me some of that.

Thanks, but you make it personal as much as anyone on here, just like this post of yours. I am not going to “Do the homework” for you when I do not accept the premise of your claims.

I'm a little concerned it's August 20 and the offensive line hasn't gotten any reps together with Davis and Bleich out injured. Still time to come together, but it's not what I was hoping for.

I work really hard not to, IMO. It’s no fun and def not helpful. My apologies if I’ve crossed that barrier.

Uncontained Preseason Excitement:
Enough talk. Can’t wait to see how our Orangemen perform against the Bobcats. I pray it’s good because I’m flying back to see the Rutgers game and the new Dome. I hope it’s a scorcher in the ‘Cuse so they have to blast the air conditioning. I do wonder how many fannies will actually be in the seats 29K, 34K, 39K,?. Let’s rock it.

I must confess, I just don’t have a feel for this team. Will the quarterbacking be serviceable? Are there too many running backs? I think Jarveon Howard is the sleeper here. Can Queely, Alford, Jackson or J. Williams step up? I’m really hoping the walking wounded on the offensive line and TE positions don’t stymie us.

My answer to all these questions is yes they can perform at a high level, but will it happen?
Defensively there’s ample reasons for hope. The system is in place now. I wonder if they can force turnovers at the rate they did last year. That was pretty remarkable. I would love to see a competent team that goes out there and flattens Ohio on the road and throttles Rutgers at home.

I don’t want another coaching change no one does. I remain positive, but concerned until proven otherwise.
The pieces to the puzzle are there. Let’s see if we can make them fit together.

May this post age better than I have.
Be there in spirit with you on the 4th (may the fourth be with us – Ha).
See y’all Sept 11th.

Also I know DB says Davis will be back for the opener but that does not mean he will play in the opener.

I have been absolutely positive about this upcoming season. I hope we are not looking at another omen with Dakota, McKinley, and Bleich out. This has been getting downright uncanny to say the very least

I am now Mikel Jones #1 fan. Nobody else gets to claim it. What an absolutely superb kid. And Garrett Williams is not far behind.

You can see character in these guys. It's a lesson in how humility and earnestness carries the weight of success even more than talent

It's the year of NIL. I want a jersey with Jones name on the back.
