They've played well for one long stretch, and played horribly for two long stretches. Perhaps if they can get a few guys back from injury and some of their underperforming hitters turn it around and they can get some consistent pitching...

This is what baseball in 2021 looks like. The new restrictions for pitchers should help juice the offenses the rest of the season. It would also be nice if the umpires stopped calling strikes on pitches at the ankles.

Gary Sanchez has climbed to 112 wRC+ and 1.0 WAR. It is not amazing, but certainly much better than where he was in April.

He was the player of the game last night, not only his HR but the throw to third to nail Vladdy Jr was awesome.
He also blocked several pitches in the dirt in the ninth and faked out the ump on the swing and miss by Gurriel. For a guy who only played a couple innings he sure put his stamp on the game.
