2022-23 Yankees Off Season / Spring Training...

Get ready for another year of automatic out Hicks in LF.
I don't know how Cashman can think this lineup is going to win anything. That's probably the problem -- Cashman actually believes that.

Judge being re-signed and Rodon were both great moves but ya like you said the lineup is pretty much the same save for getting Bader the entire season. Left Field sticks out like a sore thumb and the bench leaves a lot to be desired. Yankees payroll is nearly at the final threshold so I get they're not gonna spend like the Mets but hard to see this lineup winning a title as currently constructed.

What should I expect from this guy in Atlanta? Don't know much about him.
Had good numbers but basically a ham and egger.
Not a knock on him, but it’s just who and what he is.

Hopefully new non nerd hires like Sabean and Minaya can pull Cashman aside and explain that Hicks suuuuuuuuucks.

He’s a gamer. The Yankees tried for 2 years to find a better middle inning guy and they kept coming back to him. A personal favorite, I had a lot of trust in him.

I think the Yankees think the lightning in the bottle has run out.

He was a career minor leaguer basically.
