Watertown is good but they struggled with CNY teams last year. The rest of the Frontier League is yeah... Shaky at best.

Keep in mind that there isn't a ton of talent surrounding him, other teams are concentrating to shut him down and as a middie that's easier to do then say Spallina. I do agree that his lack of big games is a bit of a red flag but I would hold off on any judgements.

True, I apologize if I'm too harsh. I'm a little too honest\Critical lol. I hope he proves me wrong, if anything he'd be a great 2 line mid!
Got to watch Kempney a bit this past winter playing box. He’s really good and draws a ton of attention when he has the ball. Tough kid who always seemed to me to play gritty, more like an old school middie that always seems to find the ball. He may not put up the numbers we expect from Spallina and Leo but i certainly see him playing a big role in the future.

I have seen Kempney play on a couple of occasions for his club team. He is legit. Drew the pole and an early slide on every dodge. Seemed get his hands free with ease. Got up and down the field really well. I can see him playing very early.

He'd be my #2.
Pete Holohan, would be my #1, he (in the mid 70s) was the first guy to be named first team all state in football and basketball. He was a QB in high school. Went to Notre Dame where they had a guy named Montana so they moved Holohan to WR. In the NFL they moved him to TE where he had a very productive career with the LAR and SD Chargers.

Great call out! She was an unbelievable athlete. Her longevity and success as a pro runner was pretty remarkable as well.
jj grant no question in my mind. setting national records in t&, 2 time parade aa, 3 year starter at middle linebacker for mich. he returned punts for them his freshman year. ridiculous.
Grant, Green and Holohan stand out for their ability to excel as all state performers in two sports. Holohan had a much better pro career than Green or Grant.

They’re pretty decent for being a north country team but someone who moved from the area and still has family in unity program, they get smoked by any average team and the top tier talent up there (they almost all go to Mercryhurst) don’t play unity

Are there any other local kids at WG, Liverpool, Bville, FM, JD, or Lafayette that could really turn into prospects for D1?

I can't speak to all of them but certainly seems like the talent locally has ticked up a notch. Liverpool has some pretty quality players (Clouthier). I saw Charlie Lockwood's son is off to a nice start at Genny as a frosh on Varsity.

Ik the base ones like Lockwood, have heard of the lpool kid, and obv Lafayette has some nice players, but more like under the radar guys that maybe are frosh and can turn the page and step into a dominate role. Like some of the caz players over the years or like some the JD or ESM kids of late.
There’s gotta be someone flying under the radar.
