Nolley is going to A&M

ha nice!
Kind of figured as much.I don't think we will go after a forward unless one falls in to our laps. JB wants to go with what we have.

Not shooting the messenger. But how do you go from hoping Cole returns and talking about it towards the end of the year. To being okay with what we have when he does decide to turn pro? I mean that is roughly a 17 point scorer next year with the way he was playing towards the end of the year. In Jim’s mind, who picks up the slack and adds shooting and scoring that Cole leaves? This doesn’t make sense to me. Jim’s decisions are baffling to me.I don't think we will go after a forward unless one falls in to our laps. JB wants to go with what we have.
I agree 100% with you. I am also worried, and these are 100% my words and thoughts, no one else's, that we didn't make enough of an effort to keep Cole. I don't know how to say anything more than that. It felt to be like we were okay from the jump going young next year. I do know, and these are not my words, that the coaches think we are going to be really good in two years. To me, that is a meaningless thought. We could be good next year. We need to have him in for a visit.View attachment 216354
I don’t believe we’ve reached out to him but know he was a popular mention in this thread as a potential Swider replacement
We are in deep trouble if that's the case.I believe that outside of a back-up center, we are done.
A developmental "off" year would be fine if this past year hadn't been so bad, and if the past 7 years weren't so... blehthe coaches think we are going to be really good in two years.

That leads me to believe that Jim is here for 2 more years. Otherwise he would be going all in I would think. And also, this leads me to believe they are terrified of the transfer portal. If someone comes in and plays well one of the young guys may transfer. Just doesn’t seem like Jim understands the new way of life in college basketball.I agree 100% with you. Then I'm not sure what is going on in your mind. Benny played in 29 games, averaging almost 11 minutes per game. 13 of those games he played over the average.I can’t believe we are going to roll with four freshman at forward Benny is basically a freshman in my mind I think that’s just so crazy

Good in two years as a in JB is still here?I agree 100% with you. I am also worried, and these are 100% my words and thoughts, no one else's, that we didn't make enough of an effort to keep Cole. I'm not in favor of a lot of these transfers because I mostly think they are mediocre, but we have been saying we were going to be really good in two years for about 6-7 years. It's old.I agree 100% with you. I am also worried, and these are 100% my words and thoughts, no one else's, that we didn't make enough of an effort to keep Cole. Thanks Dash, yeah they could be good in 2 years but what do they expect next year? this 2 year planning worked pre-portal era. Now nothing is guranteed, you have to manage the roster season to season. After a losing season they are talking about a 2 year plan? They must feel very comfortable with the current state of affairs to be talking about a 2 year plan after a losing season. Thank god for Mintz to hopefully provide them a shot in the arm of immediate talent for next year.I do know, and these are not my words, that the coaches think we are going to be really good in two years. For that to happen Jessie would have to stay.Good in two years as a in JB is still here?
I think they must plan on getting Ballard. Thanks Dash, yeah they could be good in 2 years but what do they expect next year? this 2 year planning worked pre-portal era. Dash-any idea if they miss on Ballard, do they go in another direction and continue to pursue transfers?

JB said this is his best class ever. Guess we are going to find outI don't think we will go after a forward unless one falls in to our laps. JB wants to go with what we have.
