Transfer forward Norchad Omier commits to Miami - The Miami Hurricane
Last year, it was Charlie Moore and Jordan Miller that transferred into the Miami men’s basketball program and invigorated the squad. This year, it is Nigel Pack, and now, Norchad Omier.www.themiamihurricane.com
NBA minimum salary for this year was $925,000 so use that as a gauge. Cuse might as well join the MAAC with Siena and Niagara because pretty soon college kids are going to be making more as an "amateur" if they are not already. It's a crazy world we live in.Wonder how much Ruiz is giving this kid. Pack got $800,000.
I Lemoyne wants to move up a division it can be a CNY package deal!
He is going to be a pain for usThree years of eligibility. That's a really good get for them.

Wow, look at that. An old septuagenarian coach who actually adapts to the times and uses the portal to his advantage. Larranaga is killing it in the portal once again. Pack is rated as the #1 transfer on a number of sites. I guess we can expect to finish behind Miami as well next season. Meanwhile, JB is happy standing pat.Three years of eligibility. It's amazing how quickly it escalated to become the wild, wild west. Anyone wonder if guys like Weitsman want to participate and JAB and Syracuse has possibly been hesitant to engage above and beyond the normal stuff.
I hate where this is heading (or where it already is), and it feels like the beginning of the end for a school like Cuse. But we need the school administrators to allow Weitsman to do his thing. He was quoted in an article I read a year or so ago saying he wants to participate but he doesn't know how, and he knows the administrators are super strict (likely due to past issues). We're going to be rivals with my alma mater Siena pretty soon if they don't let Weitsman do for Cuse what others are doing for every other P5 that wants to win. It's amazing how quickly it escalated to become the wild, wild west. I think Weitsman was quoted saying something like he wants to help bring the next Zion Williamson to Cuse, but the administrators are really strict on not breaking rules and he needs their guidance and blessing.I hate where this is heading (or where it already is), and it feels like the beginning of the end for a school like Cuse. You realize even if we had someone to spend money JB still does not want to go after transfers this year.I hate where this is heading (or where it already is), and it feels like the beginning of the end for a school like Cuse. Not talking about this year. Thinking about the future. I'm afraid we're 5-10 years away from being a mid-major if other schools continue to spend big money on recruits and Cuse doesn't.You realize even if we had someone to spend money JB still does not want to go after transfers this year.
