I want Tylaur. He has the most upside. It’s also a bit strange he hasn’t committed anywhere yet.
well, without Judah and Jesse, SU's salary cap probably has some room under it.If he as good as some think gotta expect their is a bag competition ongoing with this kid. Especially since he was a Memphis commit originally...
Lots of fun today. Donnie Freeman commits and more of that sweet sweet portal action!
Hopefully the switch to m-2-m will help Williams and Bell rebound more. While the best rebounders say desire is the biggest factor, playing man has to help in positioning and block out responsibility. In the same way that Maliq Brown found his way into being a rotation mainstay last year, I predict the same will happen this year. We just don't have the rebounding without him.
That 400k we were going to give Jesse can go to someone else. Same for whatever was allocated for Mintz.

I've been a Mika Adams Woods fan since he came to UC being a Syracuse native. If he comes to SU he has zero, none, nada chance of starting. he is Symir with a little better jump shot. It certainly looks a lot better but He's never been a clutch shooter. That was Dejulius He's in the portal because he was not going to start for UC next year. An incoming freshman will. If Judah leaves he would be a nice 4th guard. He's not a PG. He is a prototypical combo guard that is not good enough at either. He is a good defender but not the lock down some make him out to be.
UC tried to replace him almost every year but due to injury and transfers he has stuck in the lineup.
He is quality depth that won't be overmatched but nothing more.
Lastly, I'd say more UC fans were disappointed MAW was coming back than leaving, They need to upgrade their roster for the Big 12.
Thanks for the insight. I barely know Woods, but by looking at a few things and looking at the Cinci fan forum, this isn't a main piece if we want to get back to our old selves. Either get an elite PG, or an elite shooter who can hunt 3s off the bench in certain situations, or go with our guard group. I'm not sure we need another bench piece, unless he's a 3-point specialist with some athleticism.I'll take the 100+ games I've watched personally him play for my analysis. He does have tons of playing time experience. He is sophomore year Michael Edwards, just didn't get worse like Mike did. But he never got better either.
I still think Benny's biggest problem is that he wants to be a 3, not a 4. Was never going to happen under JB. And from watching him, his shot nor his handle is good enough to play that against ACC competition. So while the competition left a little to be desired( still was ok) when Benny played with the select team last summer he was one of the top two rebounders along with Hugley the Pitt kidd who is in the portal. He seemed much better instinct wise rebounding out of man during that stint. Again small sample size so have to hedge some.

If I was in this position, I'd be releasing a random top 10Miss St, Cuse, Nova... throw Duke and UNC on there too big guy
LeMoyne needs to be in there. A jump to D1 is going to need a giant in the paint. If I was in this position, I'd be releasing a random top 10
Syracuse
Miss St

UNLV
Pepperdine
FGCU
UNC
UNC-Greensboro

Just throw in random schools all over the place at different levels
While you're at it, throw in the G League and a couple Euro pro clubs. That will really keep em guessing. If I was in this position, I'd be releasing a random top 10

Me too. NBA potential v Europe potential.Don't know if Udeh would be interested in us but I'd take him over McLeod in a heartbeat.
Yep. He's a former McDonald's AA so I don't blame him for wanting to leave after being recruited over for his junior season. I won't pretend that he'd produce anything close to Jesse (at least not next season), but he'd be an excellent fit, especially on the defensive end, and we have buckets of playing time to offer.Udeh is a no brainer. Would be unbelievable to get him.
I do think resources are there to compete for anyone left in the portal.
Up to the coaches to decide what they want to do. Hope they choose wisely.
I would be happy if they take Judah's NIL and the mystery portal guard's NIL and just give it to Udeh, and then roll with what we have. Judah doesn't seem to be coming back and I don't see an elite portal guard we can get.Udeh is a no brainer. Would be unbelievable to get him.

He’s really only 6’-6”. He just looks taller with all that fruit piled on his head.Does he know his rights?
