2023 Preseason Camp Thread

First guy mentioned when asked about receivers is Kendall Long. Had 2 TD's in the scrimmage including that behind the back highlight reel catch. If he breaks out we've got a really solid group of WR's this year.

Yup coach rarely speaks names, it must be obvious Kendall is outperforming the masses.

One of these clips has Petry at RT, More at RG, Reed at C, Ilaoa at LG and E Cruz at LT.

First time I have seen Reed working with the first team offense.

Again, as Dino said, they are moving players around right now, doing some experimenting. It may or may not mean anything.

Worried Ellis already has a bad foot. It looks like he is trying to play at 360+ again this year. Last year, it was too much for his legs and he missed time and was ineffective playing hurt. Disappointing.

Agree 100%.

Also makes sense that they might attempt to accelerate Reed's readiness and shift Ilaoa to LG to replace Ellis, if he isn't physically ready.

Cruz is big and very athletic. I predict he'll struggle a bit early and finish the season very strong.

They didn't let him answer the question about his impressions of the RB room. Strange but ok.

He looked uneasy and nervous. Not sure if it is because he really hasn't talked to the press much or if it was because he was worried about questions about the incident.

The reporters were told not to ask about it but it seemed like half of their questions were about, at least in an indirect way.

One of the things I like best about following college athletics at Syracuse is watching the athletes develop from kids into men during their time on the hill.

I bet he is a thoughtful, polished young man by the time he is a senior during these interviews.

For sure. No more "Bambi". Young man is 6-6 and jacked. He's well aware of the attention OG will draw. This is his year to shine.
