This painful ineptitude at the plate is the continuation of a trend that first showed itself in August 2021, which was temporarily masked by Judge's HR epic last year. Other than the acquisition of Bader and the resigning of Judge and Rizzo, there seems to be no movement toward any resolution. And while I'm at it, there's the depressingly dogged pursuit of pitchers who sign and then rarely if even ever actually pitch. Whatever the plan, if there is one other than just to try to react, the evidence on the field seems to suggest it's time for a change.
