At this stage of the game how real is the “interest” list as much as it is to seem there are many suitors..

So there seems to be some rumblings that Syracuse isn’t done with their portal class and it may not just be filling in depth pieces, it seems this current roster is attracting interest from players looking for the right “fit”

I don’t have full specifics and we should take it with a grain of salt but it seems Red and Alex Kline are still active in the portal even with the previous signings

Agee, Jamir Watkins, maybe other guys exploring NBA but planning to come back. I agree with the comment that the staff realized they were tipping their interest by following on social media and have since stopped that

Important to note, I don’t have direct knowledge on the “who” (However, I do feel rather confident on the other part that they are still looking to add an impact player and these players are now interested in Syracuse because of the current roster. The hope is to get them on campus)

Of the impact guys that are still out there, this is pure speculation. I just don’t see any impact guy looking at our 1-4 positions and would want in. I think if we get any more impact guy it would be a 5. I said earlier and have no idea if there is mutual interest, but I think Ven-Allen Lubin would be a perfect fit for this Syracuse roster. Seems like we still got some money to spend, how much? Who knows. Lubin doesn’t intend to leave UNC though in his transfer tweet and his entering has to do with the NCAA settlement.

Yes. How much who knows. But good players are attracted to playing with other good players and even more so to potential winning situations. In my opinion the only player assured of a staring spot next year is Freeman with JJ and George close behind. Even with Freeman, if either RJ Luis or Darrion Williams wanted to come I'm sure the door is open and Donnie would start next to either one. Note: I have no idea who is being rumored, just used Luis and Williams as 2 of the best out there still in the portal.

I personally think the only position that can use another guy is at the 5. I really like what we have at the 1-4 positions. Again, what’s up Ven-Allen Lubin.

Will be interesting to see if there’s a negative consequence. But at the moment, it looks like it is possible to build a better roster without worrying about ‘recruiting over’ or players grousing about how much another guy is making.
