You’d know better than me. Whats a reasonable expectation crowd wise if Cuse got the Sun Bowl? Id expect 10-12,000 given location

Sun Bowl is a tough draw. I doubt we'd have more than 2-3K fans there. By car you are 7+ hrs from the large TX cities. You are 4-6 hrs from the large AZ cities. You have to fly in for most fans.

El Paso is under rated as there are some interesting sidetrips within a few hours drive but lacks a draw of FL, CA or even NC. We had at least 8K for UNLV but Vegas is a destination and folks had time to plan for good deals. El Paso with short term travel planning will be pricey and many will not go.

BTW, gave some more thought and I think we had likely at least 4K Cuse fans in Houston (Texas Bowl) back after the 2013 season.

More like 9 hrs driving from DFW mate. Southwest and American have flights about every 2 hrs from Love Field or DFW Airport respectively. I'm in if this happens. Spare rooms to be had at Casa Orangello.

Is anyone thinking of doing board group tickets? I would most likely be going alone to a bowl game and would be looking to sit with someone. Keep me in mind when we find out our destination on Sunday.

I know now that the Gator Bowl badly wants Kyle to play and the invite may rest on getting that confirmed that he will. The Gator Bowl is a huge deal and prob the best bowl that isn’t CFP as far as how it’s run and everything behind the scenes

No I figured doing 88 mph (44×2) ;-)

Actually not that far off...some speed limits in W TX is posted at 80.

So he pulls a 2010 Jim Boeheim: lie to get a top seed(big bowl in this case) and then it’s too late after Kyle bails

I selfishly want to see him in orange once more. Fran will take care of him and give him good advice. I’m fine with whatever happens.

Great minds think alike. You can do 90-100 in certain sections between Sweetwater and Midland and Midland and EP with a radar detector. DPS tends to sit right in the median in the Mad Maxx wasteland that is far west Tejas

if we did that, my guess is it would be a cold day in hell before we get the Gator Bowl again. It’s not like the NCAA tournament, bowls pick who they want. It would be better not to have a top tier bowl and ESPN pissed off at us.

He’s getting drafted 100%. Gator could raise his stock further.
