what a disappointment if this team ends up atthe yankee bowl smh
We won’twhat a disappointment if this team ends up atthe yankee bowl smh
Sun Bowl is a tough draw. I doubt we'd have more than 2-3K fans there. By car you are 7+ hrs from the large TX cities. You are 4-6 hrs from the large AZ cities. You have to fly in for most fans. You’d know better than me. Whats a reasonable expectation crowd wise if Cuse got the Sun Bowl? Id expect 10-12,000 given location
More like 9 hrs driving from DFW mate. Southwest and American have flights about every 2 hrs from Love Field or DFW Airport respectively. I'm in if this happens. Spare rooms to be had at Casa Orangello.Sun Bowl is a tough draw. I doubt we'd have more than 2K fans there. By car you are 7+ hrs from the large TX cities. You are 4-6 hrs from the large AZ cities. We had at least 8K for UNLV but Vegas is a destination and folks had time to plan for good deals. El Paso is not as much a draw and short term travel planning will be pricey.
BTW, gave some more thought and I think we had likely at least 4K Cuse fans in Houston (Texas Bowl) back after the 2013 season.

Ohio vs Jacksonville State Cure Bowl is a good one2024-25 Bowl Schedule - BOWL SEASON
The official 2024-25 Bowl schedule for the BOWL SEASON N/Abowlseason.com
Who is going to which bowl...so far.
Group tix for Bowl games are not real viable. You don't get group discounts and time is too short to build out a large group of tix.Is anyone thinking of doing board group tickets? I would most likely be going alone to a bowl game and would be looking to sit with someone. Keep me in mind when we find out our destination on Sunday.
Now the $100 question will Rich Rod still be the coach, according to him he will be, but we will shall see.Ohio vs Jacksonville State Cure Bowl is a good one
Yup...but more likely we had some local Cuse fans in Texas help fill the seats.Shafer-mania was in full effect
I'd obviously do Sun or Holiday. Florida, not sure. Maybe Gator.Group tix for Bowl games are not real viable. You don't get group discounts and time is too short to build out a large group of tix.
That doesn't mean it won't happen but on a small scale.
Lot of pressure on the kid but I could see him doing it for Fran.I know now that the Gator Bowl badly wants Kyle to play and the invite may rest on getting that confirmed that he will. The Gator Bowl is a huge deal and prob the best bowl that isn’t CFP as far as how it’s run and everything behind the scenes
No I figured doing 88 mph (44×2) ;-)More like 9 hrs driving from DFW mate. Southwest and American have flights about every 2 hrs from Love Field or DFW Airport respectively. I'm in if this happens. Spare rooms to be had at Casa Orangello.
So he pulls a 2010 Jim Boeheim: lie to get a top seed(big bowl in this case) and then it’s too late after Kyle bailsI know now that the Gator Bowl badly wants Kyle to play and the invite may rest on getting that confirmed that he will. I selfishly want to see him in orange once more. Fran will take care of him and give him good advice. I’m fine with whatever happens.Lot of pressure on the kid but I could see him doing it for Fran.
Great minds think alike. You can do 90-100 in certain sections between Sweetwater and Midland and Midland and EP with a radar detector. DPS tends to sit right in the median in the Mad Maxx wasteland that is far west TejasNo I figured doing 88 mph (44×2) ;-)
Actually not that far off...some speed limits in W TX is posted at 80.
It's not selfish, you're a fan. That's what we're here for.I selfishly want to see him in orange once more. Fran will take care of him and give him good advice. I’m fine with whatever happens.
I expect Gadsden to skip due to his injury last year. The rest of the team may very well play, IMO. Just a guess tho.
if we did that, my guess is it would be a cold day in hell before we get the Gator Bowl again. It’s not like the NCAA tournament, bowls pick who they want. It would be better not to have a top tier bowl and ESPN pissed off at us.So he pulls a 2010 Jim Boeheim: lie to get a top seed(big bowl in this case) and then it’s too late after Kyle bails
He’s getting drafted 100%. Gator could raise his stock further.I love Kyle but he should play the Gator if he's not projected to get drafted. Can't pass up a chance to show off vs an SEC opponent.
It would be absolutely huge for Fran to win the Gator vs an SEC team. Recruiting for 2026, portal, and set up Fran for success going forward.I love Kyle but he should play the Gator if he's not projected to get drafted. Can't pass up a chance to show off vs an SEC opponent.
I guess we didn’t discuss a scenario where SMU gets blown out? Of course the Sun Biwl would want them but the Gator Bowl would have first pick…..So…. Does the Sun Bowl want SMU because things appears to be trending that way.
