Do we know if SU is planning a travel, ticket and hotel package?
Do we know if SU is planning a travel, ticket and hotel package?
I think McCord is the key. If he plays I think so will a lot of others. He sits it out...Come on Gator!
Warde Manuel would not guarantee that SMU gets in with a loss.Good post but I’m confused with wanting SMU. If Clemson wins a close game , the ACC gets 2 in and that makes Gator or pop tarts a guarantee which is all we want. And it keeps Bama out!!! What am I missing?
Would suck missing the wedding.I pray it’s not the Sun bowl. My son gets married that afternoon.
Yes but you will have to take the bus with the basketball teamDo we know if SU is planning a travel, ticket and hotel package?
Winners get PJs.Yes but you will have to take the bus with the basketball team
What past experience? When we were 9-3 what bowls did we get?I don’t think UL has a prayer of getting one of the big 3 best ACC bowls. Don’t think they are even being considered.
If Clemson wins, Miami, Syracuse and Duke get the big 3. There might be a chance UL takes a spot from Duke but I believe the ACC has a 2 win rule that prevents a 7-5 team from getting a bid from a 9-3 team. Maybe that only applies to conference record. I don’t think so.
If Clemson loses, Clemson will get a big 3 bowl. And 2 of UM, Duke and Syracuse will get the other 2 spots. I suspect in that situation, Duke gets the Duke’s Mayo, Clemson gets the Holiday and UM and SU get the Florida bowls. But Brett is saying no to this right now and that we would be the school who falls to one of the lesser bowls. Past experience indicates he might be right. The Jacksonville newspaper seems to say the Gator remains open in this scenario. Let’s hope Clemson wins and we don’t have to swear this out.
I have had enough winter games in Yankee Stadium over the last 16 years or so. No mas, por favor.
And that false start was bad.Watching Ewers right now, I wouldn’t say he’s a better passer than Kyle when it comes to arm strength and accuracy
and gets to sit next to Red.Winners get PJs.
this game is watching paint dry.And that false start was bad.
Kyle is clearly a more accurate passer than Ewers.Watching Ewers right now, I wouldn’t say he’s a better passer than Kyle when it comes to arm strength and accuracy
Neither of these teams impress methis game is watching paint dry.
He may be thinking of Big East days, 2001 where we got royally screwed out of the Gator Bowl and Va Tech, a team that we beat on the road and who finished 2 games behind us in the conference, got the Gator. Different conference now, and while I understand the general concern over us Yankees getting screwed by this Southern-centric conference, the Pinstripe will not happen. If Clemson loses tonight I believe they go to San Diego, Duke gets the Mayo, Miami gets Pop Tarts and we still get the Gator. At least that seems feasibleWhat past experience? When we were 9-3 what bowls did we get?
I am referring here to the track record Brett McMurphy has projecting what teams make what bowls. What past experience? When we were 9-3 what bowls did we get?
Correct, there have been a few 8-4 teams, including the only two ranked teams to play in the game, 2013 Notre Dame(whose wins were vacated that year) and 2016 Pitt(they of the 76-61 game against us) No 9-3 team has ever been in the gameI am referring here to the track record Brett McMurphy has projecting what teams make what bowls.
Hopefully he is wrong picking SMU to win and even if he is right, he is wrong about that leading to SU in the Pinstripe. I believe you are correct. I believe no ACC team has played in the Pinstripe with a 9-3 record.
You know what would have been even better, is if OSU was out of the playoff picture and SU playing them in a bowl, now sign me up that one.If I could have my wish, it would be that we play Michigan in some warm weather place. I don't think players would opt out for a game against Michigan. For Kyle.
Would love to have Texas D.Neither of these teams impress me
Though I agree, who decides the bowl matchups? Isn't it the bowls themselves and not the ACC?I don't think it matters big picture if Clemson or SMU loses. You've got 5 teams for 5 bowls by my count. SMU/Clemson (11-2 or 9-4), Miami (10-2), Duke (9-3), SU (9-3) and Vile (8-4) for Holiday, Mayo, Gator, Pop Tarts and Sun. We are not going to the Pinstripe. If that happens, it would be a major screw job/travesty.
However, I am just not convinced that if SMU loses, they won't get screwed by the CFP-BiG-SEC mafia in favor of Bama. The whole process is bent. The fact that our commissioner is even talking about that possibility tells me everything.
I am sure of one thing. If there's an odd man out in terms of ACC bowl preferences, it will be us. This conference has never done us a solid. Look at our FB schedule every year. Wish I didn't feel that way but I have seen too much. I really want the Gator or Pop Tarts because I think our fans would show up to those two venues and Kyle would play. The other three, not so much. Mayo would also be fine for our fans to attend but not sure Kyle plays in that one. That said, I think we're in play for all 5 and I'll take any of them with preference for: Gator, Pop Tarts, Mayo, Holiday, Sun.
We shall see soon enough.
Or BeckWatching Ewers right now, I wouldn’t say he’s a better passer than Kyle when it comes to arm strength and accuracy
They both need to agree then they offer the schools and they say yea or nay. Lots of horse trading.Though I agree, who decides the bowl matchups? Isn't it the bowls themselves and not the ACC?
