Playing WSU doesn’t bother me. I want to play someone we can beat. I’m just waiting to know who’s playing and how much the University package is for the game. I’d rather play someone we can beat instead of getting mauled by Alabama. Their lines would destroy us.

We’ve beat teams that would/could beat Bama. This is a new dawn for Syracuse football, it is time to lose that mentality. I can’t wait until Fran has us in the CFP, it’s going to happen.

This was an excellent season. Fran is the real deal, Kyle was amazing, recruiting was spectacular. Now the team has a chance for ten wins in sunny San Diego, and people are in here crying about they shouldn't play. Unbelievable.

Seeing when you created your account, you appear to have missed the Chris Ash meltdown. This is nowhere near that level, but this is surprisingly whiny for an objectively not bad thing. Ole Misswould obviously be a more fun opponent, but the opportunity for 10 wins in a great city and location with a historic bowl game would mean so much to this program.

If we want the media to stop slurping the SEC, it's the ACC's chance to change the perception. Georgia beating Clemson early in the year was one of the OOC games that helped them and hurt us this year. Then Clemson losing to South Carolina reinforced it.

There is really no point in the team playing in this game, except for the practice, and getting some of the younger players life game action.

National exposure would be playing Alabama or South Carolina. Nobody cares about this game. I’m sure or Admin will spin it up that this was the most prestigious bowl.

if we’re looking to the future, with a win, Fran can really sell a 10-win top 20 finish to recruits and their parents.

Combine that with Fran’s DART messaging, a faith-based program, an ability to get on the field early, and I think Syracuse is a great opportunity for recruits to showcase their skills

Exactly. Did recruits give us credit for playing tough schedules when we were 4-8? Get to 10 wins, that is huge. This is our best chance, they don’t have their QB and they were trash down the stretch.

Hotel too. We did the University package in 2018 and it was great. Everything was taken care of. Transfers and transportation to the stadium. It might be a little more, but worth it.
