2024 Holiday Bowl- Syracuse vs. Washington State December 27th, 8pm ET

Remember we got beat by Stanford, Pitt and got mauled by BC. We’re not ready for Alabama. We would probably lose to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma too.
We also beat UNLV, Miami, and a very solid GTech squad who gave Georgia one of their toughest games of the year. What are we doing here? This years Alabama team isn’t Nick Saban’s 2012 team.

We each had similarly difficult wins over Virginia Tech.

The best thing that can happen is we all realize San Diego’s a paradise and that despite the opponent, a big orange crowd traveling cross country will improve perception.

We will need improved national perception if a miracle occurs and we get 7 or 8 wins next year. Maybe then a bowl will be willing to take a shot on us because of how well we show, rather than relegating us to the pinstripe

Right but being the 27th makes traveling for this game extremely hard for anyone on the east coast.

I know it knocks at like 15-20 people that I know of personally that were all going to attend if on the East Coast

Us being booted to the west coast for the 3rd time this season is a travesty.

No arguments here but if its going to happen to us, at least its San Diego.

I think I can speak for most people when I say location isn’t the complaint, its just hard justifying paying a couple grand to see our backup vs wsu

We're complaining about playing a bowl game in San Diego?
It’s a top-tier bowl for a reason in the ACC. Oregon (playoffs), Arizona State (playoffs), USC (not good), UCLA (not bowl eligible), Arizona (not bowl eligible), Utah (not bowl eligible), Washington (not good enough) Cal (not good enough) and Stanford (not bowl eligible) pushed a lesser thought of nationally team up.

Hate the opponent but people are crapping on the Holiday Bowl like it’s the Military Bowl. This is a top-tier ACC game along with Pop-Tarts and Gator and treated equally among them by the ACC.

I hope Kyle decides to play. Wazzou is a very winnable game and if he puts up huge stats that could help his draft status

Its also a great opportunity for Fran get Cuse to 10 wins in year one. He can sell that plus a top 20 ranked team to future recruits

Scouts have plenty of tape. Wazzu means absolutely zero to scouts. Zero.

It’s all workouts and senior bowl practices from here on out.

We lost at home to a miserable Stanford, lost at BC to a midlin BC, and really blew the pooch at Pitt.
We got the bowl we probably deserve. I unfortunately can not see a way to go to this one. Bad date, and distance for me and my group.
Wish the best for the team and all who can go. Need this to be a win.

Boy am I excited to play a team who put up 14 points in a loss to 9 loss Wyoming...
In the 90's or 80s this bowl would have been great. It's had some of the best bowl games in bowl history...But now these non playoff bowls have lost all prestige and meaning. 9% of major college football schools get in the twelve team playoff. 43% of NFL teams make the playoffs. Widen the college football playoff.

I guess they should opt out then.

Apparently we're trying to compare records where we point out only the games that strengthen our argument. Alabama had some head scratching losses, but they also beat Georgia and South Carolina. We had losses that were probably worse than theirs while beating Miami along with some other decent teams. If we objectively look at their wins and losses compared to ours they're likely better, but on any given Saturday...

What would have made sense was Colorado vs SU in the Holiday and BYU vs Washington State in the Alamo. Colorado alone would sell out Snapdragon and BYU has a huge fanbase and will sell a ton of tickets for the Alamo. Instead you have a moronic setup with two Big 12 teams in the Alamo because Colorado filled the PAC 12 tie in when that could have been WSU and then Colorado fills the PAC 12 tie in at the Holiday

Not what was expected or wanted. Traveled to UNLV already this year and that was well worth the trip! If Kyle and others decide to play, hopefully they inform the fan base because I for one would make the trip to see them play one more time, but if not I will be staying home. Not that I don't support player development but instead I will make a donation to nil and back player development that way Go Cuse

I am sure Charlotte wheeling/dealing Dook to Gator and bumping us to Holiday rearranged some chairs.

I'm happy for the team. I saw 3 games this fall that were better bowl games than I've seen in 20 years (besides Dungey's Camping World).

Being in Vegas was a better bowl game location than any of these places anyway.

Take the money and incentives and bonuses we get and put it to good use. The Holiday pays more as I understand it and we should cruise to a 10 win season with or without our big names.

People that wanted to go to one more game in Florida and aren't now. Go book your flight to Atlanta now for the opener with Tennessee!
