2024 PGA Tour

Who on that list gets one first and why is it Ludvig?

Hopefully Aberg sticks with the swing he has.

Entering this year it would have arguably been Victor Hovland. Then he changed his swing.
He has been a mess this year. Like many successful players who did a "swing change" to take the next step, that may not have been necessary, they regressed. Personally I felt Tiger Woods injuries are somewhat based on his swing changes (and the ridiculous amount of swings he would take when going through the changes) as he tended to struggle in year 1 after the change.

When you are dominating, why change anything? In baseball, the pitchers get a 'book' on you, (and the hitters on the pitchers), and you have to adjust. There's no equivalent in golf.

I'm a MciLroy guy, but I have also have always rooted for Billy Horschel - though I cant remember why. Would luv to see Billy win.

Scottie is great, but I don't think his putter turns around and can he keep hitting those fantastic bunker shots? Xander is a real threat. I expect Burns, Lawrence, Henley to fade.

I think Rose and Lowry make a run down the stretch.

Should be great.
Horschel reminded me of Billy Hoyle when he had his hat on backwards.

So, who can we now christen as the best current veteran golfer who has never won a major? Patrick Cantlay? Tony Finau?

Hovland is the most accomplished, imo, with 10 wins on top tours (PGA & DPWT), if you include Tiger-palooza in the Bahamas.

I think he's too young for this 'honor'.

A couple more years of not coming through in the majors, and then we can talk.

I did not have “Tony Finau, bad guy” on my Bingo card. Yet here we are. Will be interesting how the facts play out.

1-2 guys, I can see. With that many people, it's pretty clear he had people pay his way through the mini tours.

Scottie Scheffler, Tommy Fleetwood and Hideki Matsuyama make up the podium in Paris. After being presented his medal by famous ex-golfer and Frenchman Pau Gasol, Scottie gets emotional during the Star Spangled Banner.

A great final nine which was highlighted by great golf by Scottie and uncharacteristically poor golf by Jon Rahm. Rory unfortunately self destructed, but not as bad by Xander Schauffle. Tommy Fleetwood came up just short again.

Silver medal very fitting for close but no cigar Tommy

Anyone live bet Scottie yesterday?
What were the odds on Rahm when he was up four? That was a lock for a medal that got unlocked fairly quick. Never sleep on the back 9 of a tournament. Lots of things can happen.

Matt Kuchar has had the "seems like a good guy" image and facade. But at this point its hard to argue against him being somewhat of a self absorbed a-hole.

What did Kuchar gain here? I don't understand this whole thing. Have been told he's one of the bigger jerks on tour but this is just odd....

His comments were that he was trying to make a point with the kid who was playing with him and lost the tournament because of some rushed decisions.

He's considered more aloof and weird instead of a jerk by many tour players and media that cover the tour.
He basically came out and said he did it to prove a point about slow play. Not a good look. About 70 people had to come back to the course this morning so he could play 3 shots.

It's strange. He obviously had a bug up his ass about something. First, he played his tee shot on 18 when the group in front of him hadn't played their second shots yet. So that was odd. But if he played his tee shot on 18, you'd be inclined to think he planned to finish. His two playing partners did. But to have pulled the stunt the way he did just seems selfish.
