I read that the staff isn't really counting on anything from the kid from Africa this year. I think him coming along quick and being a contributor right away they would welcome but I don't think they'll rule any archetype of player out because of his signing

Actually this past year DePaul wasn’t horrible. They finished about in the middle of the BE conference but the Big East was very top heavy and not that strong this past year.

Yup perfect weekend to get some recruits in. Steamy and rainy in the high 70’s tomorrow then a little bit of snow on Sunday. The Florida kids will love it!

Don’t forget there are agent conversations still happening too. We’ve seen other bigs pop into the portal and we very well could end up drawing someone into the portal based on those agent talks and relationships. Not to mention both euros have come through a single agent so if he’s got some other options that meet our need and come in and start..

Not that anyone cares but BH at PC has landed Vanterpool, Byrd and the G league guy which certainly is nice but he then went and got the starting PG and C at NW which is a big hmmmm. Those two seemed as absolute settles and stats aside were not guys the NW fans thought anything of much like how we saw George and JJ. Pair that with the Sabol add who can shoot but plays defense like a dead guy and it’s a weird team. He also added a young PG from the USF team that’s meh.

Just interesting to follow the moves. He’s got some pieces and names we know but also some questionable adds. Adding two guys from a Big ten team that played a halfcourt game and not very well to what was looking like an impressive roster. He also added a big from Yale. Building a team is hard especially if you drop all your money into basically 3 guys. I fully respect the questions around our own roster build but context is important for team building and a lot of programs are trying to work this high wire act

Im glad we didn’t panic around adding our starting C or the other pieces so far. They can leave the panic and over reaction to us.

Haven’t seen anything saying he said no to be fair. The SC kid played only 18 mpg and OF as a relationship with one of the Auburn assistants so no guarantee this pushes him out… I was speculating maybe it does not sure though
