2025 Preseason Camp Thread

Another reason besides Stanford that the Defensive Coordinator should have been canned.

I'm not as down on ERob yet as others. I stress yet, but this year isn't going to be easy on him.. I just agree with giving him more than one year. He's not Rob Spence/Brian Pariani level of incompetence.

Stanford ending really sucked, but the offense didn't exactly light it up against a bad defense at home on a Friday night.

I'm pretty sure Fran has said that he called the D play at the end of the Stanford debacle.

But regardless of who was responsible, it was a TURRIBLE call to leave their one really good WR open, and not double that dude.

So we lost Boobie for a chunk of the season and McFadden for the entire season and i'm guessing he was probably playing slot as well. Probably a good thing we brought in Tyshawn Russell for slot depth.

Collins limping in a boot is not great. Hopefully he can get healthy for the opener. But it really sucks he is not getting reps as he obviously just got into town not long ago. And hopefully the others in green no contact jerseys will be back fully healthy soon. We'll need Tremble's receiving ability as a slot TE and Jalil Martin and Rooks as rotational players would be very helpful..

Would be great if the preseason injuries would slow/stop pronto.

What are Tremble's leg spasms? Seems odd to sit for muscle spasms. Does this mean muscle cramps?

Lest not forget how bad our DL was dinged up last year. Jobity, Tank, Hastings. I think if we stop the run better this year it allows us to put pressure on QB’s and ball hawk.

If JRS is not starting and is healthy that would imply the kids took good steps forward as well in the WR room
Whoever is the starter may not mean much. I expect both of them to get a lot of PT. I would think JRS would get more run at the WR-Z and E. Ross gets some, but E. Ross is probably a better fit for all of the WR positions and will get moved around a bit.

I'm guessing Hatcher won't be ready to start the season.

Yeah Tank and Jobity both went out week 5 I think and both were pretty much starters. Did Hastings miss time? I don't remember that. Jacquez missed a little I think.

"That totally was not Clarence Lewis when it comes to that catch,” Brown said. “That was completely coach Fran. That was bad on myself, not on our defensive staff, not on anybody else. That was myself. That was a bad situation. I put Clarence in a bad situation, and the results went that way.”

Fran Brown talks Stanford miscues, Holy Cross before Week 5 Fran Brown talks Stanford miscues, Holy Cross before Week 5

love Malachi's parents. Great shots in there.

Jobity is definitely a much bigger, stronger looking dude. Very curious to see him healthy.

I am a firm believer in bloodlines. His dad was a good athlete. And Kevin has shown to be a good athlete who produces from day 1.

Can't believe he's up to 300 pounds. At his height, he's still relatively slender and hopfully won't lose any mobility. He could be a pro at that size.

Hatcher seems full speed in the videos

He's not in a boot, Axe said he was working off to the side with his ankle taped up, not even in a green jersey

Wr is prob the main position I’m not worried about. As long as cook is healthy, I think There’s enough guys that can play multiple spots to get a good rotation.
Hopefully Collins is precautionary

He needs to dial but more pressure. The bend, don’t break approach doesn’t work here.

No kidding.

Those offseason workout videos from Cook didn't lie.

No wonder this kid was a 5-star talent.
And Fran sopke very highly of him as well with how he handled things since getting to Syracuse which Fran doesn't typically just say things. So far so good but there is no denying the kid has the ability to be a great player here

What about the duck-billed platapus?
