2025 Schedule A Killer

We’ll use that schedule to portal hard. Better we do this year the easier that will be.

12 team playoff with the ACC getting no respect that murderers row is great for getting the last at large should things go somewhat well but we lose the ACC final or something.

Realistically sure it’s probably too much but it’s only 1 year. Just have to hope McCord gets the year Day screwed him out of back.
I agree I think there is quietly a decent chance McCord gets that year back after Day burned his shirt in some garbage time BS.
These days if a player threatens lawsuits against OSU & NCAA I think that player gets his year back. Especially if that player is high profile

That said - IF McCord has the season we’re all hoping he does -
he gone.

So, ideally this is all a moot point.

And then Fran has a proven template to show the next great portal QB, that they can come to Cuse, ball out, and get to the League.

I know it is early to discuss...but Fran will have a huge challenge. He could very well have a worse record than '24 but a better team.

Best Road Trips in the long time. Just wish we had one in the Mid Atlantic or NE.

Away
Tennessee in Atlanta
@ SMU
@ Clemson
@ GaTech (2nd time in ATL)
@ Miami

Notre Dame (is it home or away?) I Think away but I'm not sure.

Home
Army at home is probably canceled. Need to schedule a win here.
BC
UNC
Duke
Pitt
Plus 1 more TBD (1AA or MAC?)
This schedule wins us a national championship. We will need a portal QB

I think we will see some tweaks to this schedule. Can't get out of the Tenn game but there could be arrangements elsewhere to lessen the load.
How they are conf games

We cannot have 5 OOC games. Have to drop one. Probably UConn, Army or Notre Dame.
That’s right there are five right now. Probably Army. Wish it were ND, though Army is tough too

People should stop trying to figure out how tough a schedule is before a season starts. There will be plenty of surprises on that list come next season

Hasn’t Army already been cancelled?

Due to their new conference alignment.

When Army gets canceled we better schedule a cupcake.
The schedule is actually 13 games currently so once it is dropped that is it. Colgate, Tennessee, ND, U Conn and Army are all still listed for next year, Army would make the most sense to go now that they are an AAC team

Better go out and break the bank for a quarterback. Get a legit quarterback and that schedule while tough isn't impossible.

Former Holy Cross/UNLV QB Matt Sluka officially entered the transfer portal five days ago and I have seen a couple of reports that SU may be a landing spot.

I am hoping 2025 commit QB Luke Carney is the real deal but throwing freshman QB under center seems unrealistic with Tennessee, Notre Dame, Clemson, SMU, and more on the schedule.

Syracuse Orange (Fansided)

Rutgers isn’t the only Northeast team that could be in the market for a QB next offseason. While Sryacuse QB Kyle McCord has another year of eligibility, he could declare for the NFL Draft or opt to transfer once more, thanks to his hot start. First-year head coach Fran Brown was one of the most active coaches in the portal last offseason, and Sluka, being a local talent, would raise the floor for an Orange team competing in a wide-open ACC.

Hard pass. But also not a chance in hell carney is the starter, at least not if the team plans to win. I’m not sure he’ll ever be a starter here honestly. Feels like jakhari who is already on campus has a far better shot.
