2025 Schedule A Killer

ND usually plays their final game of the season in California. I think they like to play it in relatively warm weather somewhere. They don’t have a game like that scheduled yet but they only have 11 games scheduled. Stanford also only has 11 scheduled. Maybe they will start that series again? It would be great if they did, that game counts as ND’s 5th ACC game in 2025 and we can schedule someone else instead.

Seems like a pipe dream but both teams still have an opening really late for 2025. So maybe…

Let’s just try and guess who we will play on 11/29.

We know it won’t be Clemson. They always play South Carolina on that week.

We know it won’t won’t be UNC. They play NC State that week.

And it won’t be GT, who plays Georgia that week.

I would be shocked if we played SMU that week. I would be really surprised if we play Duke that week as well. No rivalry at all with either team.

We have played BC the final week many times. We have play Pitt the final week a few times. Both are possibilities. And it could be the season ends on the road at ND. We have finished with ND a couple of times.

But I suspect that we finish the season off with Miami at Miami. They don’t really have a rival for that week and given what happened this season, and the likelyhood both teams will be preseason top 25 teams, it could be the ACC pairs us with the Canes again.

I also would not be surprised if we end up with BC and Pitt in the dome in November.

I got my Hilton points all lined up for 2-3 away tailgates to snag the hotels before the rates go up... Got the Late January release watch party going... Hoping for Clemson/ND at a min to make. Was planning on Tenn@Atlanta but it just too early, but could be a good holiday road trip. Miami/Dallas just too far and the Vegas was a drain last year although I think those could be great games to go to considering this past year... Maybe every other for a 1 week fly trip from CNY! :)

1/3rd of next year’s schedule played yesterday. None will be home games.

Away at playoff bubble team Miami.

No conference bottom 1/3rd teams at home.

The punishment level of this schedule is at least 2x this last years. However this is ordered there will be a gauntlet that we have never seen here.

Agreed...ridiculous how hard this schedule became

10 wins on this schedule should have us potentially in the CFB playoff picture,
are you nuts? Even 9 wins vs that schedule has us in the conversation if the wins are against the big dogs.

If we somehow retain McCord we might get to 9 wins...otherwise we might be happy with a trip to Boston in late December
I had to look it up.. It a home game! but it in Syracuse and probably Nov... need some jambalaya extra hot...

Respectively disagree as the ACC has tumbled this year. You think a 3 loss team from the ACC gets in? Look at USC Gamecocks. They didn't get in. No way a Cuse team gets in with 3 losses unless they win the championship.

That means we're playing consecutive years at ND...
its a makeup as we were technically suppose to be at nd the last time we played but we got them to sub

After looking closely at our schedule we are the team to beat next year

I was bored and figured Vols fans had to be talking about the schedule next year in some thread. Found one, and the initial post I shrugged shoulders and expected that take.
then I scrolled down and it’s refreshing to see some vols fans giving cuse football credit.

I’m oddly happy about this lol. When in the last 20+ years would that fanbase give cuse football some credit and say that we are going to be a challenge? Fran has changed our perception 3x more with his 10 win season than our previous 2018 10 win season.

This Vol comment is exactly why we have no idea how hard or easy the schedule will be. Every season is different, everyone will have holes to fill.

We’ve got to rebuild/revamp both lines of scrimmage. And if course, we don’t really know who will be coming back

ha page four of that has an honest Vol fan saying they lucked out in '98 winning because of the refs. The PI call, could add the equipment violations calls to that too. Insert (still!) angry face.....

Exactly. Every team in portal age has a lot more year to year performance volatility. Some with substantially less then others but still even the elite SEC programs have more uncertainty now then maybe ever. I have seen debates recently stating the SEC isn’t what it was anymore due to NIL. Now it’s not just SEC programs paying players but everyone. So now the back ups in SEC country can go to cuse and make money and get exposure. That’s essentially alters their depth more than ever. Interesting take and I think I agree with it.
