2026 Recruiting

It's not Brady Mollot

According to the IL database, there were a number of Top 100 commitments this weekend. I haven't seen any of the usual suspects tweet anything out about most of them. Perhaps they took a page from Woj and wanted to get back to their lives.

#35 Rees Piontek, LSM to Brown
#55 Jackson Orcutt M to Georgetown
#68 Tate Sedlachek A to Harvard
#86 Andrew Pascarella D to Georgetown
#88 Kip Zacharia LSM to Lehigh
#97 Griffin O'Sullivan A to Brown

Also two four star goalies committed
Cam Lyden to Michigan
Matteo Sanders to Lafayette

By my accounting there are 18 uncommitted Top 100 players right now, and only one in the top 50 (LSM Chase Smith). There are 31 additional uncommitted four star players left.

John Balsamo is still uncommitted - #91 on IL, but #23 on NLF
Cooper Helig is still uncommitted - #64 on IL, but #25 on NLF

Helig got picked up by OSU.

A decent class for OSU with 5 top 100 recruits so far.

brutal, arguably catastrophic recruiting cycle for cornell

Ya I gotta be honest for Cornell this is Defcon 4 and nearing 5. Rutgers has as many 4 stars as they do, not good. Their most recent commit is a local middie from ESM. Good player but SU never offered from what I know. Cornell has always recruited pretty well, surprised how bad they are struggling this class. NIL and the rise of Dartmouth and Michigan maybe playing a role here.

Lehigh with their third IL top 100 recruit (Morgan #66, Bradburn #87 and Zacharia #88). That's more than Rutgers, Penn State Yale, and of course Cornell.

Rutgers did get 1 top 100 guy I think, but man another disasterous class for them as well. I know Nyclax likes to troll them but he's right their not gonna be competitive in the B10 brining in these type of classes.

A couple of the other PSU recruits make it into the NLF top 100
#43 Ryan Inzer #73 Luke Valero

Valero is just a "-" in Inside Lacrosse, what's the deal with that? Flying under the radar?

Cornell gets it's first Top 100 recruit (#57 according to IL) of the cycle. Also Ohio State picked up Kamden Clack, an A/M from Georgia, who is no #61. Just 12 remaining uncommitted top 100 players left.

Cornell just offered my son for the 2026 class. As someone that's not an incredible athlete - I can't tell you how proud I am of my boy. Now...I had to remind Cornell's staff that he just turned 2, recently started walking, and can't read - the Iowa exams are still a few years away - but they told me it's not a deal breaker.

Freeman is #65 on IL's list.

Also Cole Carberry (#89) committed to Brown recently, and NLF's #72 Devin Paccione committed to Villanova.

According to Ty Xanders he is reclassing to the 27 class.
Good catch! Still will be a tough road as I imagine they'll similarly stock up again next year, and with Colsey and Duenkel (potentially) redshirting
