2026 Transfer Thread

He played the same amount of games as Birtwistle did this year (five). It stands to reason that if Alexander gets an extra year for a medical redshirt, so would Jackson. Anyone know if he wants to take it?
I wasn't referring to his eligibility, just that I don't know if he's going to be effective next year. Same goes for Birtwistle.

Brendan Millon while a bit 2-handed is not a lefty. I think Tiffany will try to play B.Millon at midfield much like he did with Shellenberger (his 1st year). B.Millon is a bit taller than his brother at 6' and plays more out in front of the goal and off ball than his brother.

The 2nd big thing would be if K.Colsey was ready to go and stays put, so maybe you get a line-up like:
attack: M.Millon, Sunderland, K.Colsey
1) R.Colsey, B.Millon, and Terenzi, Hausmann or Hackett.

Virginia's LSM incoming freshman, Robby Hopper, has really impressive stick skills. He seems to score a goal every time I watch Spalding - not to mention great checks and 1 timing ground balls.

Brendan Millon (#9 in white) in McDonogh's final game:

could def go that kind of way. last fall, they certainly seemed predestined to have a "lefty" as lt spoke about the competition for a spot.
b millon doesn't seem to carry cs's athleticism, with his top ++ skill maybe smarts, like sunderland. sunderland can't play middie and had the biggest jump in 2025.
we'll see. if anything, i do expect little millon to get time at attack, like shellenberger and sunderland did. they need an orchestrator.
k colsey staying put would be good to see if it happens. he'd seem with his shot and quickness able to play both. he is coming off a knee (i think), but over a year recovery. hackett coming back could be big. if they use him.

Cuse is likely to play some young guys at ssdm next year including Kittleberger and Jack Schell and hope to get Levine back. I'm sure they'll look at the portal but I suspect an O guy and fogo more then an SSDM.
Do you expect kempney to get some run at ssdm next year? If not in your opinion what do you think the plan is with him?

no inside info - but i wouldn't be all that surprised if Cam Ryan goes SSDM and i think it'll be hard to keep him off the field if he does.

Not sure what the plan is right now with Ryan. I think he has the potential to at minimum see the field in the man down unit. That third close spot is going to be highly contested but he should be in the mix along with a few others including Stephens who maybe the favorite.

Sorry missed this originally. Kempney has had a bizarre career to date. Saw sometime as a frosh on the third midline then sort of disappeared the 2nd half of that year. Saw some time at SSDM last year but I believe was hurt and then was hurt again at the start of this year.

He red-shirted this past year and will have 2 years left. From what I know SSDM is still where he projects, I think he has the skills to be an effective two way middie. He has good size and I'd like to think at worst could be a depth SSDM guy. Unfortunate he didn't work out at middie, was a heck of HS player and somebody I thought could make a major impact.

I like Birtwistle but I'd be surprised if he came back. 6 years is a long time at some point players want to move on. If he does decide to use it it would be great to have him back but I wonder if he wants to play attack somewhere vs what you assume is 2nd midline again.

Thanks man I agree, appreciate your insight!

Mullin could be a good fit for Cuse. Grad guy whose been a backup though you wonder if he's looking to start jumping in the portal. Definitely a guy I think SU would at least touch base on.
He was starter for psu then moved to backup then moved to 3rd but an injury to starter made him backup again. Psu has very nice 1-2 punch with baldwin n gills both are young. Baldwin is gonna be jr now n gills was freshman.

Mullins gets beat clean a bit n isn’t fast or athletic. He had solid year his first year at psu but trailed off at end. Then baldwin took over n he never saw ton of time. He’s faced some top fogos so least use to it. But he isn’t a dominate fogo least i wouldn’t say. As besides cuse games i watch ton of penn state as stated before my family is very big supporters of psu.

Seems like with the 2 Yale guys coming in, Dubick has a much better chance to play somewhere else.
It does say for graduate school, so Dubick apparently finished up his degree in 3 years. Probably took too many AP courses at Churchill.

Even without Lyons, there already would have been a log jam of right-handers: Spanos, Erksa, S.Ford, and Matt Higgins.

Dubick has looked nice playing on man-up and in reserve minutes.

I'm wondering if we already have a plan on how we will handle the roster once House vs NCAA is approved. Seems schools like Maryland already know how they will navigate the new rules.

Official on Alexander to Maryland

it was official the moment i posted it #IHaveSpoken

ive heard most teams are trying to get under 50 for the fall in advance of expected roster limits

roster limits could be held up in court for years if they ever happen but coaches are being cautious just in case...rosters are too bloated anyways...

Hold up are the current walk-ons. Judge wants to protect them.

Higgins may RS like Ford did this year.
