2027 Recruiting

IL didn't update their Class of 2026 rankings, correct? So, they rank classes before their junior year, then again after their senior year? So two years elapse between rankings? Makes me think we shouldn't care much about the 2027 rankings at this point. Still no max Kruger on that list, right?

IL hasn't updated their 2026 rankings yet, but they probably will.
Last fall they updated the 2025 rankings on Nov 20

Last year the Orange hosted top recruits at the first home football game of the season. I'm guessing they are planning on doing the same this year? If so I'm guessing that we won't hear much until next week. Happy to be proven wrong of course!

For the '25 class, the first player to commit was Lucas Bartlow on 9/5, followed by Louis D'Agonstino on 9/10. For the '26 class, the first player to commit was Nick Rayfield on 9/8. So we might be waiting a couple of days for any real news. As for the last recruits to pledge, Jake Meyer waited till 10/17 to commit two years ago, but last year, all the recruits had verballed before the end of September. Just something to keep in mind when tracking this stuff.

Of all programs in d1 lacrosse, UNC is the one team I do not care about when it comes to getting recruits. In the context someone that could have gone to Cuse getting swiped, sure. But no program does less with more than UNC.

this is absolutly fair, its the guys I see cuse being in on I was talking about, im not sure St Pierre was ever really a target for us, but it was just comedic timing
 
fyi whenever I state stars on anyone without a post I am citing IL, because I think Sullivan is a Prep/Ty Xanders Top 100, but is a 3 star on IL

There are definitely many draws to being at UNC but at this point I can't understand the draw of playing for Breschi and Petro.

fwiw st. pierre is not the kind of lawrenceville kid i would expect for cuse. they got peck because hes from upstate and grew up a cuse fan. and rawson because hes canadian. but as far as i know those are their only two lville commits...they had kilrain but he decommitted...they will be in the mix for lville's canadians but i wouldnt hold your breath for someone like jett stake or tate starr for instance...

yeah thats what I was seeing too, hence why I said he wasnt one I really cared about

That makes sense. Fwiw, if SU only targeted Canadian Lawrenceville players in the IL top 100, that would leave the following:

5. Ayden Matthews, midfield
22. Matt Souter, midfield
50. Malcolm Richardson, attack
73. Parker Doyle

Still a lot of talent to go after.

heard cuse is making a play for matthews. i am not sure about the other ones. i believe hop likes souter a lot...

doyle is really interesting. extremely tall with rare finishing ability but still pretty raw...sky high ceiling in the right system.
