We were already playing Hopkins, Loyola, Georgetown, and UVa every year, so maybe we didn't want another Southern team on the schedule. Maryland used to scrimmage us all the time.

Agree. More than anything else, I think it's a case of both of you just not having the available schedule slots to have a regular series.
