Where's TexanMark and the gang? Did they miss the scrimmage?

Some of us did. We were expecting a 6 PM start. Understandably, they changed the time due to inclement weather due to arrive at the original scrimmage time. I brought up the issue of a time change due to the weather on one of my posts last night and was hoping for a notice if it did indeed happen. Unfortunately, I found out without enough reaction time.

It is my understanding that Mark and a few others will still be there.

Um, maybe it's time for the camera guy to come down from the telescoping platform before we have a ND incident.

Freshman RB Jordan Fredericks cuts back and breaks a 30-yard run. Ran through a Julian Whigham tackle. QB Austin Wilson threw a block.

Redshirt freshman DT Kayton Samuels is playing. Good to see. Had been limited with a lower-body injury.

K Ryan Norton hits a 30-yard field goal. Cole Murphy was short on a 53-yard try earlier. Again, very windy here.

WR Steve Ishmael is sitting on the bench with an ice pack on his left knee. Bruised it in a collision with C Andrejas Duerig on Tuesday.

Freshman hybrid Dontae Strickland breaks a few tackles on a jet sweep but can't get out of the backfield. Good effort there by Cordy.

Bad drop by Adly Enoicy on an out route. Has a chance to prove something w/ Ishmael and Avant on the bench. Isn't doing himself any favors.

WRs Alvin Cornelius and Brisly Estime are working with the first team. So are hybrid Erv Philips and TE Josh Parris.

Terrel Hunt hits Brisly Estime on the stick route. Estime turns inside and burns freshman safety Christopher Fredrick for the TD.

WE Alvin Cornelius misses a motion. Had to be yelled at by coaches to come in tight from the outside. Murphy hits a 30-yard field goal.

Freshman QB Eric Dungey hits TE Cam MacPherson on an out-and-up. DE Donnie Simmons getting yelled at by coaches.

Doesn't look like redshirt senior DT John Raymon will be playing. SU expects him ready for the opener.

Injured DE Ron Thompson is here. In street clothes. Still has a brace on his left foot. No crutches.

A couple highlights: JUCO TE Trey Dunkelberger made a diving catch on the sideline, CB Corey Winfield nearly made a diving interception.

Still eary but Enoicy struggling is one of he reasons myself and a few others were calling for more then just one WR recruit in this years recruiting class. The lack of positive news so far this camp on Enoicy, Custis and Avant is very troubling.

Avant had a nice game at the FanFest. Womack is pushing for time on the two-deep. And we're still in on a top WR from NJ this cycle.

I've heard that he's looked impressive behind closed doors in practice as well. "Smooth" and "natural" are the two words people are tossing around.

I probaby should have left Avant off the post but that said we also had posters clamoring for a walk on freshman RB after that game. This team really needs get somthing out of Custis or Enoicy as the depthy behind ISH is sketchy at best and there are major injury concerns. I do like the Womack move for sure and I still have high hopes for Custis.
