8/20/15 Practice # 12 At Fort Drum

I've heard that he's looked impressive behind closed doors in practice as well. "Smooth" and "natural" are the two words people are tossing around.

I like the sound of that...

From what I can gather our passing game has been on a tear in this scrimmage. There must be at least a half dozen TD's so far.

Called it!

After last year's futility, you just get the sense that this year's offense is going to be SO MUCH MORE potent. Not that they are going to be where they are dominant or anything, just much more efficient / effective.

Healthy OL + senior QB with something to prove + better playmakers + some explosive playmaking talent [finally] + better play calling = a lot more points

Which is kind of shocking considering how poor the throwing conditions are with the wind up there.

I just hope it's not because of poor defensive play.

there are some things I'm seeing that are a little worrisome, but the fact that Hunt and Dungey seem to be on target is very positive.

Getting Hunt back is huge, you saw what we had after he went down it was god awful. Also have to wonder if our secondary is having big time struggles with all that youth and inexperience especially at safety.

Yep, it's hard to get overly excited about anything that happens in a scrimmage because any good play for the offense means the defense screwed up/got beaten, and vice versa.

Not only has Dungey been doing very well during Preseason it doesn't hurt he is 6'2"-3" and around 220 with plenty of time to get bigger. Kid has an arm and was an absolute steal. Him and Fredericks have been impressive.

Exactly. the fact that Hunt is not overthrowing it or tossing it out of bounds is the big take-away. I just want a half-decent passing game this season. Oh, and at least 6 wins. :D

I probaby should have left Avant off the post but that said we also had posters clamoring for a walk on freshman RB after that game. This team really needs get somthing out of Custis or Enoicy as the depthy behind ISH is sketchy at best and there are major injury concerns. I do like the Womack move for sure and I still have high hopes for Custis.

I don't pump up walkons but the kid is curious. He's 10.97 100 meter track kid from Detroit. Did make all-state. Has some impressive HS video. If only he weren't a midget but like I said, he's an interesting prospect, maybe in the return game down the road.

Avant is in the top 3/4 WR's on the team. Behind them is the question marks. Adly is a rFR, i'm not going to freak because he dropped a pass.
