UofL was definitely off tonight. Poor shooting, sloppy play. Pitino admitted after game that CoC outplayed them. But UofL still found a way to win, luck or not. Watch out for them. I sure hope Syracuse can finally beat them this year!

Just remember that Louisville did not have all their players last night. One is gone for the season, but at least two or three others have injuries they are recovering from.

I can't say I hate Louisville. In fact I love to watch Silva play. He is at least the equivelent of any of our guards.

As much as I disdain a loss to the Louiville, at least their fans are reasonable .. as for another loss to Pitt .. that is unconscionable and I cringe at the thought of it.

Peyton Siva is not the equivelant of Dion. Maybe the other 3, but Dion is better than Siva. All I know is we better get out on their shooters, that guy Smith is already giving me nightmares.

I think Siva is more hard nosed than Dion. Dion pouts when things don't go right. Siva just digs down and comes back twice as hard.

Siva is forcing things right now, trying to do a bit too much. They will be strong on the glass with Buckles/Behanon/Deng. Kuric hasn't quite embraced the leadership role that Rick wants him to. They are a good team but still a work in progress. They will have figured out their identity by the time they play us.

They attacked the zone in the second half by moving Kuric to the free throw line area, I assume because none of their big men are a threat to score from there. It worked, but I doubt it works against us. They need Kuric outside the arc against us.

Siva penetrates with unreal quickness. The zone collapses to shut off the penetration. The ball is passed out to any of 3 excellent 3 pt shooters. Bingo another wide open 3. The players change but Pitino's system doesn't. It has worked almost every time against SU. It's just a stylistic bad match up for us. It will be this year too.
